None. more times than not, sequels ruin series.
Agreed, there's not a lot of room to expand upon a story when the main cast has already saved the world or resolved all loose ends. Following up an epic quest with anything other than another epic quest feels lackluster. Save the world again is just poor storytelling, why wasn't this a part of saving the world the first time around, the protagonists clearly didn't do their job if it gets right back in danger.

At least the Legend of Zelda series, usually, had the good taste to lack continuity rather than having Zelda be as face-palmingly pathetic as Princess Peach. How she manages to continually get kidnapped is a marvel of incompetent royal security.

We need a current gen SaGa game.
Vagrant Story (or at least a successor)
Skies of Arcadia
Shenmue
We also deserve Dark Cloud 3 or Ape Escape 4.

Mirrors Edge should get a sequel. The first one had the right idea but was missing something that prevented it from becoming a really good game. They were deffinetly on the right track though.

How about a sequel to the long abandoned Kid Icarus on NES? Maybe give it a Super Mario Bros. Wii or New Super Mario Bros. style treatment?

The World Ends With You? Kinda sequel implying most of the way through the game...
Then again, since Square's a cash cow...
Betting it's in the works in some department somewhere.

Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. I want more Kyle Katarn goodness.
Hell yes! I'd actually really like to carry on that story arc, it seemed like Jedi Academy had some promise for a sequel.

Exhumed / powerslave 1997 a brilliant and underrated 1st person adventure, a game ahead of its time, a forerunner untill Morrowind arrived.
Exhumed was brilliant, I think a revamp could be great.

EDIT: forgot to suggest something of my own. How about cybernator on the SNES? I'd like to see a giant mech stomping through some big industrial complexes whilst burning body-horror/cybernetic monsters with a flamethrower.

shadow of colossus...[is a] great game I'd like to see [a] sequel of.
I can tolerate how you don't know that it is in fact a prequel to Ico, but please learn more about the up-coming Last Guardian.
I'll admit I havent been following this much but I did see a trailer for it a while back. And I was aware of Ico, just haven't played it :( I guess what I meant was I wanted to see shadow of colossus style fights again. Thanks.

In all seriousness, the Jak and Daxter games deserve a proper sequel on the PS3.

None of this handheld bullshit.
Agreed, but unfortunately it will never happen because Nathan Drake shits way more money than Jak and Daxter could ever hope to rake in. :(

I'd like to see InFamous get its well-deserved sequel, but it probably will.
Ugh, is there like an anti-preorder option? Can I sign up to tell Sony and Sucker Punch that I will never buy that game? inFamous is probably the last game on earth that deserves a sequel.

Also, someone in here mentioned Mega Man X, and I agree as long as they do it Mega Man 9/10 style and go back to the original style (in this case, the 16bit SNES games). Unlike the developers of games starting a certain blue hedgehog, Capcom and Inti Creates know how to take a series back to its roots successfully.

InFamous was awesome. Why didn't you like it?

Screw that "Spiritual successor" crap, Pokemon Channel was NOT a sequel to Hey You, Pikachu! THAT is what I want!

Also one for Pokemon Channel, too, though. And Yoshi's Story!

Whoa, what do you mean? Sonic 4 hasn't even come out yet, how can you possibly bash it?

Dark Messiah, I seriously LOVED that game.
Baldur's Gate 2 should get a sequel as well.

And where the HELL is HL2: Episode 3?!

EDIT:
Also, this.

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophesy).
I've heard Heavy Rain is the spiritual successor to that game, but I haven't played either one of 'em so I really don't know.

Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Yeah you're right. I think the thing your looking for here is a storyline. Sure, running about rooftops is incredibly fun, but at least give us an interesting reason to do so!

I'd like to see:

- Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - Damn they never even ENDED that game properly!
- Fahrenheit - Heavy rain doesn't count, I don't own a PS3 :(
- Half Life 2: Episode 3 NOW please! Stop making more L4D Valve you slackers.
- Bully
- Silent Hill - Homcoming, Origins and Shattered Memories don't count. Period.

Sequels already in the works that I DON'T want to see:

- Call of duty/Modern Warfare etc - Ahhh stop with the yearly updates already!
- Max Payne - Please just leave this great franchise alone, while it's still good.
- Fable 3 - Seriously, is there really any point any more?

Fallout 2 lolol fallout 3 was turble hurf durf. Van Buren would have sucked. Nobody still wants an isometric video games. What is this, 1998? Anyway, Batman: Arkham Asylum. Which I know is coming, so.
