Zoom player for video, WMP for music and VLC for files that would require a crowbar to run.

I used to only use Winamp, but now use iTunes cause I have an ipod (curse me! bloody program)

I use Media Player Classic for movies, cause it tends to play everything.

WMP, primarily for ripping, and the builin media server. I usually listen to music on networked media players, netgear mp101, linksys wml 11b, or xbox+xbmc. If I'm listening to music on the pc, it's usually streaming off of youtube or mtv.com.

First of all wheres the poll man!!

Secondly i have all three. WMP for my general music needs (always on my second screen), iTunes for my iPod and VLC for anything that i cant play/watch on the other two.

(note: as im writing this the input box is slowly growing, is this normal for chrome? or have i finally gone mad?)

Media Player Classic for just about everything, except music. Fewer buttons, less hassle, faster load. I listen to my music genre lists on WMP for convenience sake.

Really, here's all the supported features and formats of VLC by OS/platform. It's GNU/GPL, so it's free, and it works on pretty much any OS.

Thank you - that'll make a fine open-source alternative to my current media players for Windows.
Quite welcome. I've been using VLC for a few years now; I rip my music into .wav format, and atthe time I found VLC, Windows Media didn't support .wav (I think WMP 9 it was). Now I use .flac and .wav for all music, and VLC handles both.
