To be honest Diablo would be hilarious, it is just hard to fuck up. Crazy heroes kill Satan in a way that is visually pleasing to the audience, as long as that happens it rank in the top half of movies made on games. If it did it to cannon by the games it puts it in the top 3 even if it is kinda shit.

So Battleship was a film about the board game Battleships? That's fucked up yo. I'd like to see a Monopoly film. A penniless man starts his own business and creates his very own multi-billion pound evil corporation.
so .... the story of EA then?

Mouse Trap

Connect Four. You have to find the magical chips which are massive and placed in the earth and connect four to save the universe.

No wait, "Don't Wake Daddy!" A movie about overcoming parental abuse.

NO, NO! "SKIP IT"! IF IT GOES OVER A CERTAIN SPEED BUT IF YOU STOP IT'LL BLOW UP TOO - IT'LL BLOW UP! TAKING HALF OF WHATEVER CITY IT'S IN!

Oh the possibilities.

SHIT! It's like someone from the future went back in time and made a movie based on your forum post!

Oh I'm so going to get in trouble from the admins for this one.
Why do you say that? And, to be honest, I find this statement to be rather funny. I wasn't aware there was a clue movie, but another poster pointed it out to me. What a strange world we live in.
It just seemed kind of a dick thing to say but I felt compelled to do it anyway.

Go real old school. Rock, Paper, Scissor.

(I want to see them tease a plot out of that one.)
Three people are trapped on an island together. They fire off an emergency flare and wait. After exhausting their options in terms of fruit and whatnot, their only option for survival is to kill and eat one another. An arms race for survival begins.

One retrieves a pair of scissors from the boat they ran aground on. The second selects a sizable rock. The third takes a large piece of paper. It begins. They spend days watching each other from various points on the island, silently daring one another to make the first move.

Then when scissors guy is examining the boat in hopes of unfound supplies, paper guy makes his move. He attempts to blind him with the paper, but fails. Scissors man superficially wounds him and escapes.

Two days later, paper man sees rock man closing in on his position. His only choice is to fashion his paper into a millwall brick (google it). He lies in wait, and ambushes rock guy. After some struggle, he bludgeons him to death. Just as he celebrates his victory, he staggers in sudden agony. Scissors guy heard the commotion, and crept up on them. The scissors are now buried in paper guy's back.

As he bends to his meal, scissor guy sees a boat on the horizon. Deprived of his sanity, he smiles and takes up his grizzly implement once more.

Chess, just think about it. (but if you can't, than allow me to do it for you)

Two teams, one black coded and one white coded.

They enter, or are forced to enter, a grand tournament with sort of an Unreal flavor to it.

Eight people to each team and eight bots, the people are the specialty pieces and the bots are pawns.

The matches would be Team death match with a time limit, to allow for two battles int the move.

Hmmm, this went from Chess: The Movie to Unreal Tournament: The Movie

My hats off to you sir. You actually made this sound like it would be a movie worth watching.

I've heard that Real Steel was actually supposed to be a film adaptation of Rock 'em, Sock 'em Robots! Or... something like that.

Anyway, I think what may be interesting to look at would be a board game that came out a few years back that I obsessed over as a kid called "HeroScape". It was, like, the most epic board game ever. I always wanted to keep Deathwalker 9000 on my team!

Well, there's no reason to feel bad about it. I found it hilarious, so no harm is done. I should check things before I type them

I think D&D could work well as a comedy. Have it play out like Lord of the Rings level fantasy movie that occasionally cuts back to the people sitting around the table. Have the players try really stupid things, sort of like Unforgotten Realms but in live action. Have John DiMaggio in it playing as a female elf, and in all the in-game scenes this gorgeous elf has Bender's voice. Hilarity ensues.
