i know for a fact the Final Fantasy will never stop making games cause it's got a huge fan base and even though it is the same plot points just a different time place and characters.

So, you're the same guy who thinks that Final Fantasy 9 is a ripoff of Star Wars, right?

I have to guess either Halo or Half-Life here. They're both so immensely popular that even though their current story arcs are ended/about to end (damned Valve!), they'll keep pumping out sequels and spinoffs until the apocalypse. Seriously, who wouldn't enjoy Half-Life racing? Like Mario Cart, but with Gordon and Alyx and some 'crabs?

Think about it, there's one released every year like clock work and that trend isn't going to stop any time soon.

That depends if they count as sequels. You ask me, expansions aren't sequels.

Mario. They've already got approximately 200 games with him in them - it's the kind of light hearted classic that doesn't need any plot to keep going. Almost like Pac man or Asteroids.
