True, but it's still possible with downgrading for it to come to the Wii U. Personally I hate timed exclusives more than just regular full on console/PC exclusives because usually whenever the game is ported it gets better updates and usually some reworking done to it on the ports. This was the case with the BioShock port to the PS3 if I remember correctly. Mainly though when I saw a lot of the games at MS conference I was listening carefully for the words exclusive and could tell which ones would more than likely be timed exclusives. Eventually though some companies are gonna hopefully refuse MS' money for timed exclusives, but who am I kidding that's not gonna happen. XD
I really don't see how it's possible, to put it on wiiU you'd have to change/downgrade the game to an extent that it wouldn't be the same game anymore... If X1 sells poorly in the first year I'm pretty sure third party devs will stop with the timed exclusive thing at least for this gen, it all comes down to money and if whatever MS is paying them is worth delaying it on ps4 for a year. The best thing you can do to stop timed exclusive is not to buy any timed exclusives near launch.

Uh... all of them? Even with the 180 on DRM, I'm sure the Xbox One won't sell nearly as many copies as any publisher is hoping for.
Insomniac has been with Sony basically forever. I do not believe that Sunset Overdrive will remain an Xbone exclusive.
I don't actually know much at all about D4, Quantum Break or Below. But Dead Rising found its way to the Wii, and Dead Rising 2 was on PS3. So it doesn't make sense for 3 to be exclusive.
I don't think quite all of them will end up on ps4 but at least half, quantum break being the least likely since remedy is practically a second party and MS probably screwed them in the contract.

Basically nowadays, any games announced as exclusives, unless they are published by the platform holders, are timed. PC versions are a different beast all together. There is too much money to be made for the 3rd party publishers to lose the revenue. As well as it would not be worth the cost to the platform holders to keep it permanently exclusive. Mass Effect was an abberation. MS didn't own the IP rights and when BioWare was bought out by EA, I'm sure some legal buy out clause went into effect or EA and MS made a deal or something. I'm reasonably sure that if BioWare wasn't bought out then Mass Effect would have stayed exclusive.
Sony and MS go in different directions when getting things from publishers. MS goes for exclusivity time (which may cause the game to be more polished on the other systems as the developers simply have more time to fix bugs, etc), whereas Sony goes for extra in game stuff (which may or may not end up on the other console, usually as DLC if it does).
Plenty of games were "published" by MS last gen that ended up on ps3 and plenty of games not plublished by Sony were exclusive to ps3 (Yakuza games and Valkyria Chronicles published by sega, Ni no kuni published by Namco Bandai, 3D Dot Game Heroes published by atlus, Atelier series published by NIS, ect.) I think the tip off for timed exclusive is when a first party showcases a third party game and of course MS is 10 times more likely to pull timed exclusive then Sony.
Sony goes for exclusives, they just have a policy where they want anything that's a timed exclusive to have extra content on their system because they got screwed over. There are exceptions of course, they aren't going to turn away a hugely popular game that was timed exclusive if the devs refuse to add extra content.
