I'm going as a steampunk inventor/adventurer. I have a pair of steampunky goggles, a vest and button-up shirt, dress pants and shoes, and a ridiculous paisley tie. I'm going to put together some stuff for a crazy experimental weapon - a toy rifle spray-painted a coppery color, that I'm going to bling out with metal bits and hook up with a cable to a power pack worn at my waist. And to top it all off, I've grown my beard out real thick, and I'll shave it down to mutton chops. I'm excited about it! I'll be sure to post pics, too.

I am going as a well-dressed pussy. I will rent a tuxedo and get a cat mask from somewhere. IT will be awesome.

Got most of the Stuff already, so i'll most likely be going as Gideon Graves.

Either him or start clothes hunting again and go as Rorschach... Awesome >:)

A smart vampire. Blue shirt with skinny tie, then dark blue/navy corduroy trousers and fancy boots and on my face a load of vampire make up. I was going to go as a caveman but that plan fell through.

Honestly? I didn't know Halloween was a big thing in Ireland, or that the Jack O' Lantern came from an Irish tale. The name probably should've given it away, but i always assumed it came from American settlers who happened to be Irish. (or whatever nationality has cultural history in Halloween)

... That said, i'm actually interested enough to go look up the story of 'Stringy Jack', so i must thank you for that!

Also, about the ring in the cake thing, that's really interesting you should mention that because my family used to do something similar, only at Christmas - you put a 20p in the Christmas pudding and the person who finds it is also supposed to receive good luck and good fortune for the year ahead.
It's a perfect combination of paganism and Christianity - disguise yourself as an evil spirit one day and follow it up with a bit of an aul pray for the souls of the departed. Different places have different stories, but I like Stingy Jack.

Sadly here in Holland we don't tend to celebrate Halloween. But if we would, it'd definitely be Harley Quinn a la Batman:Arkham Asylum

I'm going to be sorcerer Mickey!

I've already got the hat and yellow slippers. I've ordered a red robe on Ebay, I've ordered the white gloves on amazon, and now the only things I still need are black leggings and arm covers and a rope to tie the robe with.
