I am not going to get in on launch anyway, because I am starting some training that will be around 24 weeks long and intensive... but will wait until next year, and hopefully the Mechromancer will be ready!

I want to use Axton, although after reading the skills in the skill trees, zero looks like he is going to be a by far the best one in the game.
It sounds like if you choose to melee, you will be over powered. If you choose to shoot, you will be overpowered. The others seems about even with each other but zero gets so many plus damage things!
Will have to wait and see though, wont I?
I hated Lilith so not Maya. I feel obligated to play as Axton since I loved Roland but he IS kind of boring. Zer0 seems badass but I'm playing alone and I don't see how he could pack enough power for my liking. So that leaves a toss-up between Axton and Salvador. If Salvador has a skill tree for combat rifles then he's my man.
Salvador. Dual pistols all the way. Mostly because, looking through his skill trees, just about everything that has to do with combat has a picture that somehow involves pistols. Even his only gun-specific skill has to do with pistols.
I probably won't use only pistols but... if I can find a steady stream of them...

I'll probably go for Zero. Though I bet there's gonna be a build down the line that's going to be like Lilith's Firefly. Kill one enemy, NEVER FIRE A BULLET EVER AGAIN!!!
We are four friends that gonna play it and im going for salvador, i prefer playing charachters that can take a hit to the face without having to duck for cover. Besides, need someone to help all the squishis up.

Maya. because Sirens are fun. I had tons of fun playing as Lillith and I want to try another variation on those powers.

Was going to be the woman, but after the talent calculator came out I'll probably end up with the Ninja. The majority of Maya's talents deal with her special, and as a shooting game enthusiast, unless her special turns out to be OP, I can't be arsed to use it rather than just shoot people.
Zero on the other hand has a ton of static bonus talents, one entire tree devoted to sniping, and a special that's just more of a get-out-of-jail-free card, like Lillith's was.

Either Zero or Axton, because they seem the most fun to play and I love rifles!
I plan to use every character and play the hell out of it though.

I'm going with Maya, as the skill set looks the most interesting. Also I played Lilith in the first game.
I would pay very good money for a DLC that lets me play through with the characters from BL1 (although there could be oddities meeting 'yourself' as an NPC).
