I played the first one for an hour and couldn't get into it; played the second one for an hour and couldn't get into it.

So, I had no real interest in the final installment, which is handy since it's nigh on impossible to find new titles in Glasgow at the moment.

I haven't bought it yet, but I will eventually. A few friends of mine have played it, and even thought they are divided on the ending, they all agree that the game up until then is quite good. So yeah, someday, when it drops in price, I'll probably grab it.

I was interested in buying it, but after seeing some backlash and such, I'm glad that I didn't fork out for a brand new copy, I'll probably bend for a pre-owned one when the price drops.
Still looking forward to giving it a go, mind.

You are missing out. Arkham City is an amazing game.

I didn't buy it because, frankly, it doesn't really grab me. I have ME and I've started a few characters on it (I was actually somewhat fond of my Sam Vimes inspired Shepard), but I get partway through the game and realize that I've lost interest and I'd rather be playing something else.

Skipping, for now...

Waiting for 'Mass Effect 3: The Entire Fucking Game - Finished Product Edition'
This. Also, if they're going to make a new ending or five, and change or rewrite numerous other things, I don't want to have to play it a thousand times to see the "right" version.

Besides, Xenoblade drops in about 2 weeks, and that's a game where I KNOW I'm getting a whole game for $50...
This made me crap my dacks for a second there. I thought you meant it was coming to PS3 or 360. But then I checked wiki and saw that you poor North Americans have had to wait 8 months longer then us Europeans. Sucks you had to wait that long dude, but it'll be worth it. Xenoblade is mind blowing. It'll probably make ME3 looking like a kiddies tale if you play it first.

I don't have it, I'll get it later. I usually wait for games and there are plenty on by to-play list that are cheeper. Plus the only compliant I ever hear is about the ending, actually it is about the only thing I hear about it. A bad ending, which I am prepared to be the most abysmal thing ever created based on fan reaction, is only a small part of the game. I don't think there is an ending plot hole ridden, depressing, or inconclusive enough to possibly live up to the fan reaction. If it does, then I'll just find it so bad it is impressive.

I got bored about halfway through the first game, and haven't touched the series since then.

So yeah, I didn't buy ME3. I really don't buy a lot of video games anymore.

Well i didn't and from the internet washing a tsunami of bile across the game, i can honestly say i'm glad i didn't. I actually haven't played any of the Mass Effects, So no real stake for me. I just get to sit back and have a good laugh.

So if you didn't buy it are you planning to buy it or just skip it? If they change the ending would consider buying then?
Game was amazing.

Ending was amazingly shit-sandwhich.

I played ME 1 and didn't really like it, so I've never bothered with the rest of the series. I'm sorry so many people were frustrated with the endings, though.

What are you talking out? Ending aside, Mass Effect 3 is one of the best, well-made games I've ever played. It's more emotinally affecting than Schindler's List, it's as visually impressive as Crysis, it's got more choices than you can wave a minigun at. If you're not buying it just because of the ending, then you really need to wake up.

Please note that i didn't say anywhere that the game was bad. I just haven't had the time/money/interest to play any of the mass effect games. It's received great reviews from just about everywhere and i can see why people like it. It's just not for me. I'm just happy i didn't get sucked into the hype pre-order and get a (supposedly) very sub-standard ending to an otherwise great series.

This is fun stuff for me to watch. I'm just asking who didn't buy it, why, and if they're happy they didn't considering the crap that's happened since then.

i didnt, i dont know why but i just cant get into any kind of space/future and aliens stuff. everything is always plain boring white or boring grey. my friends who played Mass Effect 1 was showing me the game and noting how good the graphics were and all i could say is " the entire room is pure white, with no texture decorations or anything. i dont know, im more of a medieval type of person when it comes to time frames and games. everything natural and simple instead of clean and bleak.

If Bioware do the right thing and fix the story with some kind of additional content, and EA comes to their senses and releases it on Steam, only then will I be purchasing Mass Effect 3.

Which is a shame, because I loved ME2.

well considering that I have mass effect and mass effect 2 on Steam, and I will not support origin, and yes I am one of those, strange, individuals who actually sticks to their opinion and their standpoint, if I won't support something I just won't end of story, not until they make the service at least competitive in quality to steam, then I may reconsider.

Otherwise I have other games to play, so mass effect 3 can wait indefinately.

I never even got around to trying the series. The characters and environments look so bland and boring that there was never really any appeal to play it. I don't have a lot of time for games in the past few years, so I'm really picky about what I buy. Maybe I'll play it someday as a learning experience if I get a chance.

I've played the first two, but I'm skipping this one. Origin just seems like too big a hassle to put up with.
