Doctor Wallace Breen - not comic book evil but really evil, well hitler evil even, as one might say.

Breen is a great choice, because there are men like him EVERYWHERE, IRL. Smooth talking sycophants and enablers of evil, self concerned and ego centric. Does an excellent job representing the diffuse evil in the many individual pieces in the machinery of bureaucracy and administration.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's Hitler evil, because he doesn't really have his own evil scheme, so much as simply taking an opportunity to ensure his own relative comfort as the ***** emissary of humanities new alien overlords while selling out his own species.

As for the poster to listed God, there's merit to that discussion in as far as depictions within a given context, but just throwing one word out there is kinda low-content trolly polly.

Running with the idea though, I think one of the best villainous depictions of the Christian god is in the DC Vertigo comic series Preacher:

Personality wise in the above mentioned comic depiction, he oscillates in a bipolar old testatment / new testament appearances, when he's getting any frame time.

He causes all the pain and horror in the world because he's "lonely". He gives people free will, but then shits on their life to see who will still love him. A mad puppeteer blighting his creations with pain and misery so they turn to his light and at rock bottom, offer themselves to his mercy. In his own defense, he says, "You cannot know the loneliness of being a creator before creation", but that doesn't hold up in my eyes or the eyes of the other characters in the story.

hmmmm, I would have to say that one guy from full metal alchemist who turns his wife into a tormented beast who starves herself to death just so that she can end her miserable existence. then next year he does the same to his daughter... After that the humonculus from full metal alchemist or scar from the lion king.

Although it depends on your definition of evil, those are evil like evil evil but theres also people like the king of britania from code gease who is lawful evil or the joker from batman who is kind of crazy evil, I consider harmful actions for selfish reasons the ultimate evil however harmful actions for no reason could be even worse, its a hard decision

Personally I'd say Furudo Erika from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (When the Seagulls Cry), though I can't really go into why without massive spoilers.

Granted, her lot in life is pretty precarious and we get a bit of a sob story later on, but at the end of the day she's not an evil ***** because of those things - she does it all because she can and because she enjoys it.

Bare in mind I chose her over Shakespeare's Iago (a close second) for just this reason. She's like him except she enjoys it more.

The question is fairly straightforward; Who do you think is the most evil character ever? They don't necessarily have to be a villain, and they can be from any medium (film/t.v.books/comics etc.)

In my personal opinion, Barnes from 'Platoon', Frank Costello from 'The Departed' and General Nikolai Alexandroich Zakharov from 'The Punisher MAX (Man of Stone specifically) are among the most evil characters I've seen to date.

but she is REALLY an evil mastermind, shes playing a sadistic game with mario and bowser as the pawns

To be perfectly honest, I (and I'm willing to believe that I'm not the only one) was thinking the same thing. I know that this might seem like trolling because of the backlash that various gods (but mainly the Christian/Judeo-~Christian one) get on this site but the fact remains that god in the Bible is a fucking evil character.

It just implies that god (real or not) is evil (and anyone who has read the Bible can confirm that).

That depend if its the character evil for being a manipulative ***** in the most basic level (that is, using HER apareance because she admited that she doesnt have any smart toughs) by abusing the fact that people love her........for some reason and abuse some guy that went spycho because of her evil deed or the author Stephani Meyer evil for making the novel and infect the girls with bullshit in the first place, made the entire cast of interesting characters to be suddenly evil towards the point of view of the "heroine", made the only good guy of the "romance" a pedo to destroy all the shipping towards the heroine and to leave INTACT his pure love for the White Brick Edward. The fanbase could have been just easily fixed by slapping the bitches in the face and give them a list of GOOD novels of romance but the hate is being too obtuse to care anymore.

So all the post here are absolutely destroyed (even my older post) because the winner is Stephani Meyer. You have increased the rates of divorcse, the % of asexual males around the world by the sheer repudiation of being around mindless creatures like womans that will taint the blood of future generations and made posible to convince the Pope Benedict that the Holocaust actually happened.
