Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD kept my friends and I occupied for several hours a day.

There's plenty of good games out for the Gamecube, they're admittedly few and far between, but the same goes for every other console.

Sorry I just needed to correct that...
So... you're calling shenanigans on his shenanigans? :p

More on topic, I fucking loved the Gamecube, and anyone who says it wasn't a success is a moron.

Metroid Prime 1 and 2
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros Melee
Zelda: Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Four Swords Adventures, and re-releases of Zelda, Zelda 2, OOT, and MM if you count them
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Tales of Symphonia
Both Star Fox Games (64 still beats them hands down, but they were good)
The original and, in my opinion, still best Animal Crossing (it was the music)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Although they weren't exclusives, the Timesplitters games and Second Sight
I've heard that Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem was fantastic. I'm still looking for a copy of that...
And that's just what I personally enjoyed.

The Gamecube was a fantastic system. It just wasn't taken seriously because of people's view of Nintendo being "kiddy" and "family friendly only" by comparison to the XBox or PS2, which is what they eventually embraced to create the Wii.

IT'S YOUR FAULT, YOU HEATHENS! *ehem* ... Sorry about that. My hardcore fandom for Nintendo ended after the release of the Wii. I'm still a little bitter.

While in the end I spent far more time on my PS2, games like Paper Mario: 1000 year door, SSBM, and Mariokart Double Dash are some of my favourite games to this day.

I, for one, frelling loved the 'cube. Not my favorite console ever, but it has some of my favorite games of all time, so how could I not like it? I still have it and play it from time to time.

It had a limited library of games. I only had a few games for the Gamecube compared to the PS2, but they were truly loved. Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros, Starfox Adventures (i also had that Starfox Command(?) game, but it wasn't very good), Wind Waker, Resident Evil, Dead to Rights (it's aged terribly but i loved it on the gamecube), the Metroid Prime games, Mario Tennis... that's all i can think of right now. Mind you, compared to the large library of PS2 games that were more often than not crap or forgotten after i'd played through them (with exceptions like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and any games made by Atlus) maybe the Gamecube really was better than i gave it credit for.

Edit: Also, Luigi's mansion was awesome. As was Pikmin. Captain Olimar is a bigger pimp than any fool to come out of the Grand Theft Auto series. I'm glad i can still play these games on my wii.

I think this is all the reason I need to love it.

Other than that, it had a fuckload of badass games.

LONG LIVE PIKMIN!

I've got a LOT of fond memories of the gamecube since it was my first console.

Pikmin holds a lot of nostalgia especially.

Gamecube was my first console game system, and I know some of the games I had for it were of the best I have ever played. I played Zelda: Collectors Edition, Spiderman: The Movie, Spiderman 2, Fantastic Four, Starwars Bounty Hunter, and many, many others that I am not going to take the time to list. Those games are some of the best games I have ever played; and while the graphics were not perfect compared to todays high definition graphics, it is hard to not look at how cool it was to go on and beat up hoards of enemies. I feel that some of them can hold their ground, even compared to games for next generation consoles like PS3, X-BOX 360, and Wii.
The Gamecube gave me some of my favorite games I have ever had, and even today now that I have a PS3 and acess to newer games, I will find myself going back and playing games on the Gamecube, because the Gamecube games are still a lot of fun. I think it really stinks that I actually had the Gamecube just when games began to no longer be made for it, but in the time I had with the system, I had fun.

Still play the GC every chance I get (which, considering work, school, etc, there's not a whole lot of).

I love my Gamecube, ever since I got it, it has been plugged in and ready to go, and I still use it regularly.

Ok so I notice that more than a lot of people I know bash the Gamecube. The biggest reason for this being that it had no good games. To this I call shinanigans. I freaking loved Smash Bros., Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, and Wind Waker. I even liked Mario Sunshine and that Starfox game with the dinosaurs. Don't ask me why I liked them but I did. So I wanna know, did anyone like something from the Gamecube?
Loved the Gamecube. It lived up to exactly as much hype as it generated--which was not too much--and so it satisfied my expectations, rather than ramping them up and only half meeting them (I'm looking at you, Wii).
