There are so many great comedians out there, but my personal favorite is Dave Attell. He's quite possibly one of the most underrated stand-up comedians out there.

Jan Gintberg. you probably never heard of him because hes from Denmark.
This. Not only is he very funny, and completely bonkers, but he always has something to say as well, a good point that we can learn from. It's not immensely philosophical, but it's just... sense. His shows adresses this, whatever it is he's talking about from start to finnish, and he ties it together in such an amazing way. It's like he takes something most people think is so complicated, but then he makes it seem simple.
There was one show that was about tolerance of foreigners, terrorism and illegal immigrants. And at the end of the show it's like "You know, in the end, it's simply about treating eachother like normal human beings, etc." It's not "deep", and yet, it is a bit.
God, it's hard to explain. It's early in the morning.

Currently.... can't decide between Louis CK or Bill Burr....

George Carlin is easily one of the greatest.

....If you say Dane Cook.... you have no soul... or just have the most boring, generic sense of humor known to man.

dara o'brian, everythings funnier in an irish accent
Hes very good but I hate how he just mentions everything about England dominating Ireland. Which is rather annoying more than anything.

My favourite stand-up comedian is Lee Evans. Hes hilarious and although he may sweat like Mr Zsasz in a blind people convention he can still make some amazing jokes.

I like a lot of comedian's acts, most of which have already been mentioned, but my favourite comedian is Richard Herring; not for his act particularly , but for the quantity of his output (daily blog, weekly podcast, twitter) that provides a fascinating insight into his career and life. He's like a one man soap opera.

Dara O'Briain, Frankie Boyle and Michael McIntyre. I cannot stand Lee Evans.

Chris Rock is cool though. And Steve Amos. =)

Can't decide. Ed Byrne is amazing, as is Marcus Brigstocke, Michael McIntyre, Stuart Francis, John Bishop, Russell Howard, Dara O' Brein and Frankie Boyle.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Sean Lock and Bill Bailey. I have the same birthday as Bill Bailey :D

Without a doubt frankie boyle, he offends EVERYONE.
Fair enough love Frankie myself as i always say: Descrimination should never be discriminatory.

For me Jimmy Carr, Bill Bailey or Michael Mcintyre.
And yes theres a slight curve of sanity in those three there.

George Carlin, Louis CK and some of Dave Chappelle's stuff. (Don't know many stand-up comedians so this thread is like a treasure vault .. SOOOO many names to search for on youtube ;D)

Don't get why people find Dane Cook so funny though .. I didn't even smile during his videos =/ Same with Bill Hicks. This man might have some good points and I tried to like him but he doesn't really make me laugh.

George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, Eddie Izzard and probably a couple others that I can't remember right now.
