Say what? Oblivion was one of three "open-world RPGs" released in the 2005-2006 window: Oblivion, Gothic 3, and Two Worlds. Disregarding respective quality, they are pretty darn similar. True, they each went about making an open-world fantasy RPG in a different way - but they had the same core principles behind them.ElTigreSantiago said:I'm confused. If you people didn't like Oblivion, what game were you playing that replaced it? It's the only game that even attempts to do what it does, and I for one think that it does a damn good job.
Uh... I think it's because this thread was specifically designed for people who don't like Oblivion to chime in. It's a matter of concentration, not overall opinion.imahobbit4062 said:I agree with this, Oblivion seems to be hated a lot, and I have no idea why.ZombieMonkey7 said:Why do so many people in this tread not like Oblivion?! Oblivion was a gaming masterpiece!

Then they said they wouldn't be using the Gamebryo engine.
Now I'm super-duper excited.
To answer the OP's question, old people, many girls, and guys who don't play any games other than Madden or CoD.
In morrowind my friend nearly commited a mass genocide against the entire population. The only reason you have to be the hero is because you chose to go and do the hero route. You can do whatever you want in an Elder Scrolls game, and killing everyone, becoming an exceptional theif/assassin, or simply being a total prick to unicorns and people you don't like, are all on the table.Dcocho said:Me,
No time to spend a 30 minute character creation to be plunged into a underpopulated world spare cities where you are the hero who trys to save the world by yourself
Oh man another fucking bullshit "Be the hero" game -.-
NEXT
Oh, Hello Fallout New vegas 2 -.-
someone can't cant catch an exaggeration. im not trolling, im stating my opinion which is...CopperyDock said:If you didn't play the game for longer than five minutes it's pretty clear you didn't give it a chance, and Oblivion was not "Morrowind with better graphics", far from it in-fact.Azaraxzealot said:hell to the NO!
i am NOT excited for a sequel to a game that i couldnt even play for 5 minutes without being bored
i TRIED to replace the hole Fable left in my heart after my mom took it away all those years ago with Elder Scrolls 3, but that game SUCKED! it was WAAAAAAAAY too big and the combat was slow and clunky. i never felt like i was actually HITTING anything when i swung my sword
i honestly thought oblivion would be better, but it turned out that it was just as bad, just with better graphics.
You're probablypatrolling anyway.

Because no one could have made the above complaint about Morrowind.God-damn it Tolkien fantasy is awful & I don't want another game based on it.
"Yes I know, I put 500-1000 of hours into that game, its like WOW but not as horrible."Naheal said:There's this thing called free time and class... I was looking forward to having both again. Oh well.
