Who ISN'T looking forward to another Elder Scrolls game?

They've announced that it'll be using a new engine, so that's something to look forward to. Besides, I thought Oblivion was better than Morrowind in every way.Jonathan Crowell said:

But, I'll admit to being quite interested in the explanation behind the dragons. I don't remember much in-game lore about dragons (only played ES III and IV) and it's got me hooked on getting that explained.
That's an interesting point, because I've spent hundreds of hours in both games (and about 20 in daggerfall), but I haven't once heard of dragons. The only time I did was in an Oblivion mod where you can summon and ride a dragon... interesting lore development.BourneGamer said:

Oblivion was played with these fond memories in mind, at first I was really excited, but I gradually realized it was never going to be as good because the immersion, mystery and depth just weren't really there. I still played it to death, deciding to get a bargain-bin strategy guide to pin down every single quest in the game.
"Nights of the Nine" was very enjoyable, better than 90% of the original game, but obviously was just a single quest chain.
"Servant of the Dawn" mod was also very good, designed to carry on after the original story, was a great quest chain and story, good fun, went from shiny saviour of Cyrodill to a bitter and vindictive traitor.
THEN THERE WAS THE SHIVERING ISLES. I wish I had never played Oblivion before this, it was 10 times better. The story was great, the environment was great. "I saw a mudcrab today" conversations were non-existent, instead it was the occasional 'crazy person talking to another crazy person' conversations, that were actually both amusing and fit with the setting. Tons of fun, much more polished, much more interesting, the mystery and the immersion were back.
Fallout 3, had the same problem as Morrowind for me, took me numerous attempts to get in, but once I was in I was hooked. Finished the story, got the DLC, had loads of fun playing through, but as with oblivion, I accepted that the engine was holding it back really - at least ranged combat suffered less problems than melee.
I hope Skyrim is both interesting and built on a solid engine, as it could stand to be my favourite Bethesda game so far (currently shivering isles), but I'm not going to hold my breath. I was disappointed with oblivion and no number of mods could totally fix it, I hope Skyrim turns out well, it would make me very happy

Since i never really got into Elder Scrolls IV (Unlike my brother), i barely noticed that Elder Scrolls V is coming over.

I'm trying to get into Oblivion, but I just can't seem to get through it. The levelling up system is just boring.

After reading this I have realized that Elder Scrolls fans are probably some of the most level-headed, polite people in the gaming universe.

I'm watching on curiously, but not particularly exited. I loved Oblivion on the first play through, but it hadn't at all well when I tried again last month. Hopefully they make some drastic changes, but I'm not relying on that.
The difference here obvious, The Elder Scrolls is a massive, industry influencing IP that is likely to interest lots of people. People's opinions on it are valuable and interesting as a gamer. Hannah Montana is obviously not so. Comparing the importance of the two is like comparing the importance of 2001 to the Doom film, or the importance of 50 Cent to that of The Beatles.MiracleOfSound said:
