FINALLY! Jesus! I don't know who Stephen Fry is, but I whole-heartedly vote for muthafuckin' Neil deGrasse Tyson. He's just as well-spoken as Morgan Freeman, but leagues more intelligent. If we wanted to make a good impression, there'd be a great start.

NOTE: I am not saying that Mr. Freeman isn't intelligent. It's just that he's a famous actor with a smooth, deep voice, while Mr deGrasse Tyson is a goddamned astrophysicist.

I've always disliked Dr. Tyson, for some reason. I find him obnoxious.

OT: I'd say we should do Jimmy Carter. I never liked him as a politician or a President, but the guy has worked all of his life to ensure World Peace and security. He's pleasant, well-meaning, and he'd likely be able to hit it off well with the aliens.

I have a strong suspicion that any alien race we meet is also going to be somewhat fractured. The only realistic way to get a whole planet under one nation is massive genocide, which isn't a ice thing to do.
