On topic: Jacob. I sent him through the pipe system knowing what would happen to him, and loving it. Seriously, if I'd had the option to kick him out the airlock at some point even my most holy of holy paragon Shepard would've done so.

If I had to let people die, it would be:
Jack, because she annoyed me, although her loyalty mission was really good.
Tali, because in the first game, all her dialog was "waa waa we created the Geth and they whipped our asses". It bugged me so much, and shes just not that interesting...the other Quarians are though, hope to see more of them in ME3
Grunt, because...well, he's no Wrex.
As long as Mordin, Thane, Legion and DAT ASS Garrus survive, it's all good.

Tali, Jack and Legion.

On my current run through I want Legion to stay alive. I really liked the idea behind it.

She fucking dies even if I don't want her to! First she get's into a fight with Jack then I can't make her stop being a ***** and she ends up cheating me out of a PERFECT ending with NO ONE dieing she is the ONLY one who dies. At first I was like "Finally that ***** is dead" then I wanted to get the perfect ending and she keeps dieing, which only adds to my HATRED!

It fills me with rage of the Brooklyn variety.

Just Thane (uninspired dork) and Miranda (fairly attractive, but do all British-accented characters in video games these days need to be utter tossers? I've known many British-accented folks in my life and most of them were certainly not assholes; don't see why they all have to act like that in video games).

Miranda has Yvonne Strahovski's Australian accent. Australia is not part of Britain.

I like all the characters, to be quite honest. Even ones I didn't like at first grew on me by my second play through, either because of their combat prowess (Miranda) or because they turned out to be way more interesting and complex than what my first impression of them suggested (Mordin. Still sorry for judging you prematurely). So, yeah, I went out of my way to save everyone on the first play through.

However, to answer the topic question, if I had to pick and let one die, though, it would probably be Zaeed. It's what you get for not having a conversation wheel!

I lost Jack and Legion in my first playthrough. I felt sad for the Geth....not so much for the psycho.

Miranda. I hated her with such a passion. She was such a ***** towards my FemShep I hated it. Almost any option I chose she had a bad reaction to it or argued with me.
I was glad she died. I laughed when it showed her body.

Nobody dies on Steve Rogers-Shepard's watch (paragon made that game remarkably easy to roleplay). Also I found most characters became more likeable after their personal missions (except Zaedd).

I wouldn't mind if everyone but Tali died...Ok and maybe Legion can live too. Best import ever two squadmates who hate each other are the only ones that live (well Legion can't feel hate but shut up)

Also just Miranda and Jack living would be pretty lol (and Tali just because i can't bear to let her die)

I also have an unreasonable amount of "don't you dare die on me" syndrome for Legion, simply because he died in my first playthrough in what can only be described the most dickish move ever (A fucking loyal geth can't hack a door?!) and i accidentally gave him to Cerberus in my second playthrough. I made that ***** live in my third playthough goddammit! If he dies in ME3 I.WILL.RAGE!

If you have a poor team leader in that bit then the tech guy dies even if they're legion or tali... I found that out first playthrough with Tali (who is AWESOME)

OT: No-one... some of them I dislike, but they all add flavour to the story. Plus any of them could have a use in Mass Effect 3...

Well, I kept them all alive on one, and killed all but 4 on another, Garrus(never EVER kill Garrus), Tali, Miranda, and grunt survived, although I didn't do grunts loyalty mission, also gave legion to cerberus. I also have 2 other playthroughs, random alive and dead, except garrus, NEVER KILL GARRUS

I second that sentiment. Garrus is my favorite squad member, far and away.

Granted, I didn't let anyone die on any of my playthroughs. I think it's for one of two reasons: either I'm way too nice, or I'm too OCD to let any upgrade pass me by MUST GET EVERYTHING. You think I'm kidding.

Am I the only one who actually liked Miranda as a character? She was a MUCH more interesting romance option than Ashley.

And can someone explain to me why everyone fucking loves Tali so much? Seriously you guys, she's annoying as fuck, yet you put her up on this alien lover pedestal like she's the greatest thing since sliced bread in space. She's not hot. She's not interesting. Knock it off.

OT: No one deserved to die. They all had their qualities, sure Jacob was a little bland, but he had your back, and a better personality than Kaiden that's for damn sure.

Somehow I managed to kill Tali.

I friggin hated that moment, she's my favourite character of all time.

If there had to be someone to die, because on all my profiles everyone lives and I have full paragon , I would pick Miranda - she's a *****, she constantly goes on about how the mission could be jeopardised by so and so and she acts likes she my favourite and goes on about how she's second in command! I didn't make her second and when we first got on the Normandy, she said *whiny ***** voice* "We should go get Mordin!" Even though I'm a paragon I said *deep authoritive Shepard voice* "Get fucked, I'm in command you're not!" - or something similar. Plus I totally agree with you on that Scarecrow 8 - Tali must live, along with Legion and Garrus! Oh and Shepard - silly me.
