You don't need to ask people why, You should be able to figure it out on your own. It's like asking why people hate america: Think about it for a second dummy!
('dummy' is not aimed at OP BTW)

This entire thread has turned into a paradox. I must go into the corner and recite lines from Red Dwarf now.

Enjoy your meal!
How you make that? Every time I try to create a poster like that, I can't embed it.
Well, the image isn't MINE. I found it, copied the URL, surrounded it in image tags, and there you have it.

Its because people are ignorant. These threads follow a simply outline. Question for hate is raised, people explain why hate happens, but little differences between each post make them all disagree, and then people argue about how to explain hate.

people hate things because they need to hate the things others have hated. thus hating those things that are hated by the hated

I hate this comment. Who's with me?

It made my head explode until I did some deep breathing and was able to understand it.

This is a wierd coincidence... did you start this after reading all the trolls a-hatin' on my "Why all the Halo hate?" thread?
Indeed, even just after finding that the OP of that thread is a troll himself.

EDIT: Also those polling options were completly biased, I enjoy Halo and your thread assumes that everyone hates it.......

Because some people like to understand the perspectives of others?
Even so, it does seem like kind of a crappy reason to make an entire thread...

Also, I smell a meme in the making with this thread.

You know the irony of this thread? It's already been done before. I remember an old rash of "why all the hate on" threads that lead to this very thread. The answer to your questions is that these threads do not encourage discussion they encourage people to try and disprove a point rather then discussing it.

what the fuck is a fransizka. Sounds kind of hot. Also sounds like something else I should hate. So I do.

I also hate than when I edit a quote and want to quote someone else in the same post it takes me to a screen with only my post. So I have to clutter a thread with two replies in a row like an internet tard. I hate that shit.

Because they're all more examples of somebody not understanding how opinions work and you can only explain that people are allowed to disagree on things so many times before it gets really tiresome.

I can't tell you how many times I come to these forums (or go anywhere on the internet) and see this exact same series of threads and arguments: "I liked this game, therefore it is a good game." "I hated this game, therefore it is a bad game." "But I liked it." "But I hated it." "But it's good." "But it's bad." "Everyone who hates it is just a butthurt fanboy crying over spilt milk." "Everyone who likes it is just a blind sheep sucking the developer's teat."

I don't know what it is that makes the concept of subjective opinions, personal preferences or individual taste so difficult for certain people to grasp. That's why there's no need for "why all the hate?" threads, or, for that matter, any of the "I hated X therefore it sucks" threads either. All it is is immature people presenting their opinions as if they are objective facts to a community that actually does understand what an opinion is that then has nothing to do with this information, except to say, "One more member liked this game. Good for them?"

So yeah, basically it's just pointless and irritating.
I hated Clarence Thomas before it was sexy to hate him :p

For one, they're annoying.

Oh wait, thats it. Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't stop it from being annoying as hell.

I could be a troll and give you the old "Hater's gonna hate" which is in turn a troll term.

I don't know man i suppose people just hate "hate"

EDIT: Also a thread about hateing hate about haters?? dare i say it, HATECEPTION!?!?
YO DAWG! I heard you hate haters. So we made a thread about haters hating haters, so now you can hate haters, while you hate haters!

EDIT: Also:

"I hate you, I hate YOU, I don't even know who you are, and I hate your guts. And as I sip my water that I'm sure somebody spat it..."
