I love watching these angry rage vids. Rage comes natural. Just remember people havea life outside of games they could also have serious mental disorders.
This is very true, but 90% of the time unfortunately they're just being an asshole.

I never get angry at anyone in a game. If it's a CO-OP and we all die, it's 'oh damn', but then you start over and try again. If it bothers you that much, leaving the game saves grey hairs!!

No idea why people get that like. I've experienced someone shouting calling everyone 'fucking retarded' because HE got killed (like it was anyone's fault but his own)
I'll give you an example based on BF2142. Most players are retarded dipshits who I wouldn't trust with tieing my shoes. The few individuals who indeed know what they're doing and why, I know and play with gladly. People who can work in a team - know to watch their sectors and won't let anyone take us from behind all while sticking in a team, reviving teammates, spotting enemy vehicles - I love that kind of gameplay. It's the kind of tactical, coordinated smart play BF2142 was designed for. Regrettably people who play like that are in the minority, most players are clueless dumbfucks who couldn't work in a 2-man team to save their lives - or maybe that's just how they enjoy their game.

And in all honesty, I get pissed when I get killed too. I solved that problem by dropping and doing 20 pushups every time I die. After half a year of doing this.. best gaming idea ever.

Hahahah, these are great comedy. People so serious, why would you rage over chat where people can see your idiocy.

Second one isn't really rage though, third one is just retarded, so glad I've never played Halo, I didn't realize it was that awful(EVERYONE talking is retarded).
Yeah, the annoying thing about Halo, never anyone talking normally. I just mute them all.

My mate would get serious whenever he'd play CSS, a bit of rage everytime he died. Was fun if you were on the other team though, you could knife him and hear him go "aww ffs".

It's our nature - repeatedly trying and failing at any activity causes anger.

It's not that hard to understand.
Especially if there are people out there to spectate your failure, yeah.
True, and even worse when someone else is repeatedly causing your failure.

And welcome to the Escapist, may you enjoy your stay :)

Second vid - guy was making a perfectly valid point, no idea why it was put here.
It's not that he wasn't making a valid point, it was the flaming and the swearing and the clear irateness of the guy. He did sound like a douche.

a) A lot of gamers are adolescent males with bodies full of hormones and heads full of angry. They can't help it.
b) A lot of games are competitive. People don't like losing.
c) Anonymity and distance. You all know where that leads.

Oh well. God bless whoever invented the mute button.

The only game I really rage at is Guild Wars, although I'm REALLY bad with doing that. I'll start saying more cuses and generally act like I'm in a horrible mood, and that's while I'm still in the outposts and haven't done anything yet.

But ya, some people take games too seriously, like the people that spaz out at griefers.

Some people just don't have any shame or self-control.

I admit I do rage at multiplayer games sometimes, but I won't yell at people through the mic, that's just sad.

When you're focusing on the more intense moments of games, you're much less capable of taking a step back, and analysing your mistakes, or the cause of your failure. In this state, people can rarely maintain a cool head if things aren't going their way.

This plus the lack of inhibitions brought about in online play leads to the occasional screaming at the TV from certain people.

People can respond to games how they like. Some use them as a "safe" way of relieving aggression. Others see them as pure entertainment. I talk to my screen characters all the time, often telling them off if the controls are clunky. I think offloading onto co-players is rather uncaring, and that they will definitely run out of people willing to play with them soon! But as for yelling while playing when no-one else will hear or suffer - why not?
I understand where your comeing from but I still don't see the point. I mean it's entertainment, entertainment is not suppost to make you angry.
sometimes...

sometimes. the computer cheats

i dont have the link to the article, but when the computer is MADE to cheat in the game, that causes rageee moments for sure.

so just wanna point out no all games are meant for pure entertainment purposes.

Some people are just extremely immature, and overreact to simple things in games. I'd love to see them in real life situations though.

"I got a B on my math test?! RAAHknajbdjhvdbadbgvb!!!!"

The real thing would have way more racist and homophobic slurs though.
