I don't hate it. I just don't really pay attention to it. It isn't really something I want to follow.
I suppose if I really wanted to know about someone, I'd follow their blog. But I don't even do that, so I don't really see why I'd follow their life sentence by sentence.
I do think it's odd how much hype it gets in the media. Considering the number of people who actually use it, it's kind of like hyping up all the pistachio ice cream addicts in the world. When news stories first started breaking on Twitter only something like 3% of American's had an account. And having an account didn't mean you actually used the service. It's a non-news story, yet it gets the coverage of a social phenomenon that a much larger percentage of the population takes part in. Obviously more people use it now, but I wonder how much of that is because CNN said we were all missing out on the next big thing.
