And TBH, I actually felt a strange sense of pride that both Link and I are left-handed... sounds weird, but true.

Yes, Sheva in left hadned. It made it a little odd watching her hold that 3-round burst pistol. Always looked like she was holding it backward.

OT: I actually bought the GC version of Twilight Princess because right-handed Link is an insult.

You somehow mixed up the quote.
Oops.. Cut the wrong tag out.

Oh well, it applies to the point you were making too. She's probably not left handed.

Lefties are witches that need to be burned at the stake - now where's my pitchfork?!

There really should be a game with a Female Afro-Asian Homosexual Left-Handed protagonist. That would solve so many problems... :p

Left handers are mutants. Doesn't everyone know that?
Its true if you come to my house and mention that I'm left handed I will eat you and make your bones into forks and knives, and maybe your skull as a big mug.

Well Sheva in RE5 is left handed, so you've got the Female Afro Left Handed Protagonist bit down.

She has a British accent, which means she's suitably foreign from the U.S. as well. Not Asian, mind, but still 'foreign'.

And considering her Tribal outfit I think it's fair to say we can replace "homosexual" with "stripper."

But moving on.

Though I don't think there's been any games made out of it. And yes, I'm aware he's holding his gun with his right hand. He's ambidextrous but shoots better with his left, and he enjoys handicapping himself by mostly using his right.

Phoenix Wright might be left handed. He does all his pointing with his left hand, and his pointer is legendary in the court of law.

Samus' arm cannon is on her right arm, so she might be left-handed (or ambidexterous).
I'd call Samus right handed, you don't aim with your bad arm do you?
I'd also call Samus ambidextrous because she would have to both aim well with her right hand and still have enough dexterity in her left hand to use it for everything else since she wouldn't be able to use her right hand for anything else when in the suit. You'd be surprised how much more difficult even menial tasks become when not using you primary hand.

I don't think it's something that really occurs to right-handed people :p

True, but you left out the key part - Protagonist. Sheva's a sidekick. Chris is the main man in RE5, and also the main reason why RE5 is THE White Supremacist Game of the Year (along with Uncharted)... :p

Most rifles are right handed. That is the bolt and casing ejection port are on the right side. So even if you are left handed you still have to pull the trigger and work the bolt with your right hand. You can cusom build/order guns that are left handed but they are far from the norm. Even if video game characters were left handed they would still be holding rifles like a rightie since left handed guns would be hard to come by.

You can have two protagonists >_> Plus she is a playable character in the main game. "Partner" might be a better name than "sidekick", especially if you're playing co-op.

Nightmare from Soul Calibur uses usually his "normal" left arm to hold/swing his sword, don't know if that counts.

Oh, you can have more than one protagonist, but I'd hesitate to call her that. She's given minimal involvement in the game's plot, while Chris is at the center of the game, both with his relationship with Jill and Wesker. Sheva is given some off-screen motivation for hating Umbrella and that's about it.

Also, she IS a sidekick is you're NOT playing Co-Op ;)
