Why do PC gamers get so much hate

the real reason is becuase whenever a topic like this is made pc elitests (people who think the almighty pc/mac god is infallable ) get in a circle jerk abut how much better there gaming experience is.


as primaraly a console gamer I admit that pc gaming CAN be the superior choice, however this is supriseingly rare as pc games have so many install issues and errors/glicthes even when playing the games.

plus you have the fact that being curled up in a couch is so much more comfertable then buing hunch around an uncomfertable desk.

In practice, it isn't as good as it first seems. The casing of the monitors really gets in the way. It's like fitting bars to the windscreen of your car - irritating. Also...who can afford 6 good monitors and a PC capable of rendering games at 3x2 times the native resolution of them? You're looking at anything up to 7680x3200 (2560x1600 is a standard PC resolution).

A PC can feed a bank of 24 monitors, in theory.

Thats not really the point of it though, it's more to show of than anything else

...because they're not--at least not anymore than any other gaming group. Just spend one hour on the gamespot forums and you'll see all-out platform wars where all of them are derided equally. As for the elitist thing, it's probably because either buying or building your own gaming rig is quite expensive. Also, PC gaming is a bit less social than other gaming. the consoles allow 4 guys or gals to get together on a couch and duke it out on one TV--not to say that a group can't bring their PCs together and get some good old fashioned AoE LAN going.

a pc gamer on the other hand needs a computer, a mouse, RAM, graphics, a game, minimum space on the hard drive, minimum specohforfucksakeimborednow...

plus irregardless of what people say (anyone who argues with this statement, you're lying) pc gaming is a fuck of alot more expensive than console gaming.

both of those make any pc gamers i know snooty and stuck up when it comes to talking about their gaming experiences.

I don't have anything against pc gaming. It's the pc gamers that start talking shit on anything that has to do with consoles that pisses me off. Seriously I get sick of people saying things like "Consoletards" or "Crysis looks better". I know most aren't like that, but there is a vocal minority that really get on my nerves.
