I pressed it because I love buttons. I pressed it lots and I got a badge on like the 5th time.

First I clicked it out of curiosity.
Then I clicked it to get the second badge.
Now I click it for poo and lulz.

It works on this principle:
(apologies for the quality, but it's the best one I could find)

Basically humans are hard-wired to be curious about everything. We have an innate urge to know the unknown, to discover what's on the other side (even at the risk of Bieberfication).
Pfft. Guess I'm not human, then. My curiosity level is extremely low. Probably related to the extremely high apathy levels.

I clicked the button because I was told that you could get a badge for it. And you can! I was also told that you could get a badge by clicking it a second time, so I did...! But no badge.

Curious, no. Gullible, yes.

Morbid curiosity, simple as that.

What i want to know is why i'm so tempted to push a button that would set off a fire alarm or such,

EDIT: Even after reading the opening post, i then see later in a post a button, that says "don't press the button". so i press then button. and now FUUUUUUUUUUUU- >.<

People are too lazy to find out what the button does before bearing the consequences themselves, or too curious to wait to find the information, or really like seeing popstars all over their inernets.

I personally feel no need to look at many millions of beibers, thus I do not click the big red button.
