well i would be on better speaking terms with most of my exs if there wasn't that cheating thing involved. All in all I tend to only hate them when they cheat. 3 of my exs are my best friends. and 3 of them I am on speaking terms with. The rest. Nope. Could care less and the sooner I DON'T see them, the better and happier I am.

Just as the topic states, why do people hate their Ex? This could include ex-boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, etc. If the couple have loved each other then why does the relationship weaken to the point of sheer hatred for the other? I understand if a relationship has some difficulties, but if there is love in it, why would people be so willing to break up and start hating each other? Couldn't they try to find a way to make it work or is the love a lie in some cases?
I like several of my exes, it just didn't work out. However, I also have one ex who was a sociopath, and treated me like dirt when I was no longer convenient. I have an ex who cheated on me like 5 times, AND caught herpes, and lied about it, and could have infected me. And then there's crazy stalker lady, who went from being sweet to "Don't fall asleep, lest she make a coat out of your skin."

I suppose, for the most part, it's bitterness on a lot of people's behalfs, and I don't get that But MAN! I've had some bad experiences. The first and the last mentioned were the worst, but I don't think I can ever completely forgive herpes girl either.

I don't hate my ex. At least, not anymore. I mean sure, I had the same initial reaction that lots of people did, anger in reaction to it, which turned into hatred.

But y'know, life goes on, and it sure as hell isn't going to wait up for me just because I'm feeling sorry for myself.

That and knowing it was partially my fault as well. That helps stop the venom. Mostly, I'm just angry with myself for failing. But like I said. Life goes on, and a few months from now it'll be locked away deep in the recesses of my mind.

I usually don't hate any of my exes. Usually we end on good terms, or end up being friends in the end after some time. There's only one ex that I hate, and that's because she's psychotic and crazy and lives in a dream-like state instead of reality. ... Not to mention, she called my current girlfriend a whole bunch of terrible things and that just don't fly with me.

Because most breakups don't go quite well... what's easier then than to "hate" the other person?

Because my ex broke things off without ever explaining why, tried to get me arrested for no reason, and then told everyone that I was trying to kill her.

I'm still not sure why she grew to hate me so much.

Because she was a fcking crazy ****.

And she didn't shave her armpits.

(Okay, so she wasn't really crazy, just really manipulative and not very nice to me)

I don't hate my exes. I'm a little irritated that one of them has the ability to reduce me to a sputtering lunatic whenever she happens to be near, while I'm trying to prove to her that I've changed (Not as an attempt to get back with her, mind. I just want to show her I can.)
