Eh, abiogenesis has several competing hypothesis about the order things came into being. It's not like evolution doesn't sit with current theories of abiogenesis (like RNA world and ribozymes). "Organic matter" is a pretty poorly defined term, but if we're to take the organic chemistry definition (CHON(PS)), it actually makes sense when it comes to orbitals and such. I think there are non-terrestrial moons with clouds made from simple organic compounds, and some organic compounds can be created as combustion products. Self replication is the real tricky part, I think lipid bilayer self assembly has already been shown experimentally.
