People who worry about shit like this are simply stupid.
Look at yourself. All the possessions you have are created through pain and torture, in one way or another. Do you think our food simply appears in stores? No. The animals were originally tamed, enslaved, their wills broken. Do you worry about it? Probably not.
People who go "wow, that's obscene, wah wah, humanity is horrible" just piss me off.
No, I don't condone violence. Not really. But look at yourself. You surround yourself with delusions. Cruelty has existed, exists, and will exist in a variety of places. And even though I don't really care, I'd rather set my priorities and worry about cruelty directed at people before cruelty directed at what, pretty much, is a disposable and easily renewable resource.
And that brings us to the whole argument about value of life. Is life worth shit? I'd say not really. Life is worth nothing. What's truly important is mind. Mind and memory. Understanding. A death of human is mourned because the friends and relatives lose a living mind, not a pile of organs and bones.
Don't follow what you think is moral. Question it.
Is your dog really with you because you think it likes you? Or is it because it was enslaved, conditioned through generations, to heed your commands and be your pawn? Because dogs' untamed variant, a wolf, for example, would simply run away or try to kill you instead of trying to play ball.
You could probably compare taming with complete slavery, really. Fuck I hate PETA. If anything is worth in this world, it's conscious thought and human mind.
