Why do people Tweet?

I think it's just another way of updating people on day to day crap that really no one cares about but secretly like reading as some weird voyourism. Like FB updates.

For the majority of people, it's to allow other boring people to know exactly what boring thing you're doing. I don't see much use in it.

I personally use it to keep my fans (all 3 of them) updated on progress of different episodes and what's going on.
