Speaking as a Floridian, 76 degrees is one degree removed from being downright cold; it's not hot until it's 90 degrees and humid. I'd be covering up more if I were someplace that was in the mid 70s like that, not less.

Speaking as a Swede, land of mythical cold, 76F (which translates into 24 Celcius) is comfortably warm, but hardly hot. My flat was 35C (95F) last summer, THAT was unbearable.

OT: Those clothes didn't seem that bad to me. I thought this was going to be like a Walmartian thread or the like. I wouldn't be caught dead in that top as a female though, cool or not.

Seriously clothes are an expression of individual identity, or even just something comfortable to wear. If someone felt good walking round with a bucket on their head I don't see what business it is of yours or anyone else's.

Fashion is just another form of art, I have no problem with people wearing what they like so long as it isn't offensive in some way. If you think it looks silly, then that's fine, but don't act like your opinion is a fact.

95 indoors? Ouch. In the hottest part of the Summer, 95 and humid (which brings the heat index up over 100) is par for the course around here, but everyone has air conditioning, so it's rare to find a house that's hotter than 80 inside. Apartments are usually kept in the 60s or 70s, since the electric bill isn't directly paid by the tenants.

Clothes don't need to be about practicality, they're more about making yourself look good. When you hang out with friends who also dress like or aren't as petty as to judge you merely on the clothes you wear then you can wear what you like. I'm fairly certain that fashion is about subjectivity, so you have a very baseless argument that merely seems like an attack.

so i was at kennywood yesterday (an amusement park in the pittsburgh area) and saw a lot of people, mostly guys wearing shirts that had no only the sleeves cut off, but pretty much the entire side cut off. basically the only places the shirt is connected on the sides is a couple inches from the bottom, and around the collar. basically like this

on guys it just looks incredibly douchey and on girls it looks trashy as hell. i guess they wear it to keep themselves cooler but is 76 degrees really that unbearably hot? i cant imagine they put that on and then looked in the mirror thinking, "i look so awesome like this!"

dont get me wrong, i like a girl in short shorts as much as the next guy, but i think shorts in which the pockets hang down past the bottom of the shorts or hemline or whatever its called, it just looks really stupid

Because they can. Really any individual's fashion sense is completely subjective anyway so there is really little point getting worked up about such things unless they border on indecent exposure. But yeah those shirts do look a bit silly but look but at any point in recent history and you will see fashion really doesn't make wise decision most of the time.
