Why do random people add us on Facebook?

I happen to be a 15 year old girl and i get these random requests from a bunch of women who look like hookers all the time. Now why would someone like that want to add a 15 year old girl? So i added one just to see what they were all about and basically they had something posted w/a link to win a free pink apple laptop. So i deleted them and added another that i had a request for and their wall had the same exact thing on it! Obviously these are just people trying to spam you. Probably some old pervert looking for young girls online

I do not add anyone who I haven't had a real conversation with. If I haven't spoken to them in over a year and have no real desire to get back in touch, I remove them. The entire idea of friend count = e-peen size is incredibly stupid.
