I'm assuming you're a PS3 owner from what you're saying but you seem like you really want to play the above mentioned games. It's called console exclusives. The PS3 has some exclusive games that I'd like to play but I don't whine about it.
Yes, I do own the superior console, and yes, I am referring to the PS3 when I use the word superior, but we won't get into that!
I'd love to play Halo 3 and Gears of War 2...but in the end, PS3 owners will always have better exclusives- (Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet to name a few) and will also have the better console.

Honestly, Heres my opinion: Xbox 360 > Ps3. and the ps3 is only expensive becuase sony are bithces and its been it for a shorter length of time. Plus if you want backwards compatability you have to shell out an extra $50+, Also, I enjoy the Xbox 360 exlclusive games, (No, im not a halo fanboy, theres more games than halo for the 360 >.>) Gears of war...Its popular for a reason >.> Mass effect. Bliss ^^. Crackdown, fun to mess around with. Anywayz...you only pay monthly for a GOLD membership. theres a SILVER membership that can play online in a few games/game modes, and you can use the marketplace fine. But I pay for the gold membership becuase, well, its worth it, Xbox live is really well done up. and the Ps3 exclusives, well, arent anything to brag about (Lbp, although fun at first and I admit...ok I love the map creator if your good at it, but it gets boring and embarassing.
dont even TALK to me about Metal gear solid 4. It makes me want to cough up blood. Killzone two, is well, an average fps. Although the large online play is definiteley a perk, this game isnt original at all. But yes, I admit, I like Lbp
But If I want a ps3, ill buy one - I dont see the point, id only be buying a few extra games. Seeing as most games are for both consoles, and graphics doesnt really have a big difference, no matter what spoiled fanboys say, All id be doing is messing around in the LBP map maker...and finally, yes, ps3 is good, but I prefer the xbox exclusives and online play, and well, Seriously, I HATEZORZ the console wars, but hey, its fun to at least have a side. I think Ps3 AND xbox owners can agree that Wii only reigned for a month before both of us teamed up and pointed out its low graphics and gameplay capability, then beat it into the mud with sticks and dragged the body into a ditch. Why cant we work together like those days?
