Why do we hate Justin Beiber?

He's popular, but his music is mediocre. Most people who find his music mediocre or bad hate the fact that his popular for mediocre music and his face.
It's like twilight, but instead of a poorly written book with a poor plot the plot and writing has been replaced with music and a face.

It's not that I've got a problem with him, exactly, I'm sure he's a lovely person if you get to know him (although the opposite can be argued that he's a complete dick, I don't know, I've never met him). It's mostly that he's a media puppet, his over-exposure is surely a testamant to that.

It pretty much encompasses everything I've got a problem with when it comes to music today; the reliance on image over substance; the inability to produce anything artistically valuable; turning expression into marketing; the retreading of pre-established trends and never showing any initiative, creativity or autonomy of his (their) own by attempting to break those trends and create something new and definitive.

But, then again, I'm just a cantankerous old fuck who thinks that music died shortly before the end of the 90's. What do I know?

Because he genuinly doesnt deserve what he's got - no talent, obnoxious about his fame, has infected 80% of girls aged 3 - 30, polluting the tv/radio with his crappy music - people say if you don't like him don't like him don't listen to him which is kinda hard when he's on the tv every 12 seconds or there's some chick in the backround wherever you go talking about him. I'd be fine with him if I didn't have to here about him. He probably did go off at the camera crew though, and for someone surrounded by cameras every minute of every waking hour, who can blame him? Let's be honest, it would give anyone the shits after a while.

There are plenty of celebrities that are followed day and night and they don't lose their cool over nothing. He knew what he was getting into when he started his career and people don't deserve to be treated like that when they are simply doing their job. The more annoying thing is that he lies and says he didn't do that (the outburst on Sunrise) despite multiple witnesses saying that he did.

True but he's one of a select few who probably has to deal with the paparazi all the time... Its part in parcel with fame but still, sometimes they have to be physically pushed back by (insert famous person here) security. He could have just been in a bad mood, I'm sure you've been a complete dick on a few ocasions for no good reason? I know I have, the world doesnt hear about our meltdowns they do with the stupidly famous.

He is the pure accumulation of the entertainment industry's exploitation of teenage girls, and through his success their opinions and tastes (their terrible, terrible tastes) are justified, empowered and validated. This is nothing but a bad thing for creative industries. the same goes for Twilight.

The three main reasons I don't like Justin Bieber:

1. His music is like having an angle grinder attached to a car engine being pushed down my ears,
2. His fan base is 90% retarded preteen girls,
3. He has about as much personality as a brick with some googley eyes attached.

You see, I enjoy watching behind the scenes footage of bands doing things like writing songs or making videos for two reasons, firstly, I am an aspiring musician and wouldn't mind learning a thing or two, and secondly, they help show off the personalities of the band members.

My favourite example of the latter is Avenged Sevenfold, who (to me) seem like people who seem down to earth and people I would get along with and most importantly have more emotion then a spoon full of rice pudding.

He's a brat that 'sings' half-assed manufactured repetitive crap that someone else made for him.
On top of that, he's actually popular among annoying teens and creepy older women for it.

He's untalented, never suffered for his art, doesn't know that he is in WAY over his head, thinks he's better than he really is, has no charisma, is generally unlikable, had a career handed to him on silver platter, and has a high annoying voice for singing bland uninteresting music.
I think that was the longest I've ever typed about him without going into a long incoherent mess of insults.
