I dont fear death mainly because it is enevitable. I dont really believe in souls and the like. I know that we are all just intelligent walking bags of meat, and we all expire some time.

Do I fear death? That is such a silly question to ask, kinda like "Do you fear the sun rising/setting?". Of course its going to happen whether your aware of it or not. To answer the question, I would reply that to some extent I would say that I do fear death, if only because I (like most people) fear intense pain. I am also fully aware that some people aren't as spiritual as I am (I said spiritual, not religious mind you) and have not given the idea of death as much thought I as I have myself. To them I say good, I hope you are never thrust into a position as to contemplate such a morbid idea as your own death. Do I fear it? I think that if I was in an immediate position as to act in a self-preserving way, than to immediately die, I would rather do what I could to survive (morally speaking). Do I fear death? From a survivalist perspective than yes I do, from the normal long-life perspective it's a no. But do I want to die? That's a big hell no! I like life, but I am not afraid of death either. I like to think of it the next big adventure afterlife. And if I cease to exist and there is nothing afterdeath its no lose and no skin off my back (so to speak). Hmmm... maybe it's not such a silly question after all.

I don't fear the concept, just actual physical dying. I guess it's the uncertainty of how I'm going to die and if it will hurt. I'm more afraid of others dying than my own death. That being said, I have no desire to die.

Math reason: Living=Fun, Fun=/=Sucks, so Not Living=Sucks
Actually, I think that should be elaborated slightly.
If death = not + living, and living =fun, then death = not + fun. Which allows us to safely assume that, provided living does in fact equal fun, death is not fun.

That aside, I don't particularly fear death. As I see it, death is just a law of the universe. All things with a begining have an ending. If you are born, then you will inevitably die.
I believe that there is a heaven, and a merciful God. I consider him to be MY God, and have faith that when I die, through some wierd way of things(likely involving a very advanced form of bending) I will be permitted to live with him in his kingdom.
I haven't quite worked out the bending part, but I figure if he knows how to not begin he also knows how to not end.

Although, I'd rather not die just yet. There are certainly things out there I'd like to do first.

I fear death because I don't know what it entails. My consciousness has every possibility of moving on, or dissolving into absolutely nothing. I would honestly take eternal damnation over ceasing to exist.

I fear dying because of the proximity to death, and because it could possibly be very painful or otherwise terrible.

Now I'm going to leave this thread and watch Adventure Time to forget about this subject.

I don't fear death. I fear dying. Dying is painful and everything...but death isn't bad. You don't feel anything. You can't regret that your life has ended.

I don't fear, I just try not to think about it. It's going to happen wither or not I want it too, so why stress?

Because from a scientific standpoint my brain will die and everything I was will be nothing. Whatever is after that I cannot possibly conceive.

I do not fear my own death....its the death of a loved one, family members or friend that I fear the most.

Well, to be fair, that is not the entire reason. I also have a fairly fatalistic view towards death.

My only fear about death is that it will come before I can embrace it. There are so many things that I want to do, to accomplish before I leave this reality. My beliefs might be or might not be right but that is irrelevant. I want to create a positive impact on this world before I go.

When I've done everything on my list, I will wait for death and greet it like a friend.

Why fear death. It's the end. After it there's just nothing. Why should I be scared of nothing? Why shouldn't I be scared of wasting what time I DO have? Like posting on a forum...wait...
