The same reason we hate all other thieves?

Cuz they're thieves.
Okay that doesnt help the debate, thats just close minded regurgitation of what you think you should be saying. What about the differences between piracy and theft, the fact its only aganst the law because of media interests, that in many countrys downloading for private use is illegal and a thriving music, games etc industry still remains. You have an opinion fine but please expand on it or dont talk. Not half assed spelled one lines please.
Yes, yes it does. There is no debate on what is and isn't theft just because something isn't tangable doesn't mean it's not a real thing. It doesn't matter how you slice it. It's illegal because someone worked hard on that music/movie/game they put effort into making it and you took it without proper payment as they asked. It's theft end of story there is no room for debate. There is no excuse on it. It's not illegal for 'media interests' anymore than shoplifting clothes is illegal for 'textile interests' or fraud on eBay is 'auction interests'. Taking something with out making the proper agreement with the person who owns said property is theft.

Pirates are thieves.

Most people don't like thieves.

One could argue that teh publishers are doiing more harm to the artist than any bitorrent site. Publishers force new artists into long term harsh contracts that will se ethem take a very heft percentage of all the artists take and for what? A distribution system for media? Welcome to the digital age we can distribute around the globe in a few minutes. Why teh nshould these vultures be permitted to abuse teh law to maintain a monopoly. Tv was going to kill the radio, vcrs would kill the cinema, its all scaremongering to protect a corrupt system. When piracy is one of the only threats to that system shoudlnt the moral compass be adjusted?

Why are ISP's being fined and forced to monitor traffic, they are a service provider and yet you see it fair for them to be inconvienced? What about us , the consumers who have to tolerate DRM that does nothing to pirates but stops us from bringing our games to 2nd hand market?

I said nothing about 'killing the medium'. You're right that reasoing is a bunch of bull. But It's still stealing. If you want something; you pay for it or otherwise make an agreement on what is acceptable terms.

If you don't like what the game company is doint with it's software don't buy it. The information for what it does is available. Just because they're being asshats doesn't make piracy okay. Two wrongs don't make a right.

So if you want to reward devs but punish publishers what do you do? I buy my games btw, its abandonware and things I occasionally dl.
