BURN THE HERETIC WHO DOTH NOT ENJOY THE CRAFTING OF MINES
Anyway, don't you worry about Planet Express, let me worry about blank.
Now that I have THAT out of the way, I don't understand the massive hardon everyone seems to have for Call of Duty. I recently got Modern Warfare 2 to play online with a buddy (Yeah, it's out of date, but he doesn't have CODBLOPS or BF:BC2.) and it was... eh. I really couldn't get into it. I tried the single player and the multiplayer and... it was basically just like any other shooter. Whoop-de-doo?
Kick-Ass and Scott Pilgrim. I may take flak for this, but come on... I read the comics after the movies came out, but before I watched them, as I thought that viewing the movies from the same angle as everyone else would give me the same EPIC experience they all had. Um. Not really. Kick-Ass was dull, had bad acting, mediocre cinematography and Nicolas Cage in it, and Scott Pilgrim just felt kind of stilted and stale. Acting was understandably boring. Couple of chuckles here and there, but nothing special.
Now onto bands... the big one being Arcade Fire. Don't get me wrong, they produce some decent indie music, but I really don't elevate them above the whole indie rock scene in the slightest. I had their first album when it came out, but didn't really peg them as special, and, indeed, forgot about the and until fairly recently, when they got all popular with the best album and shizz. I just don't see it.
Another band time: Metallica. I'm a metalhead, and I don't give a shit who knows it, but Metallica aren't that special to me. Average drums and drummer, decent riffs, but fairly average presentation, decent vocals, blah lead guitar... a few iconic songs, but certainly nothing to blow my mind. I don't get why so many metalheads worship 'em. :/
I could go on. I ***** too much.
