A few months ago, I happen to remember that Forza 3 was just on the horizon; and in my excitement I decided to start playing Forza 2 again. Now, I had recently deleted all my music from my 360 to free up some space, and I had an iPod anyway. Long story short I realize that for some idiotic reason, I needed to download some update so that my 360 could play Protected AAC songs from my iPod (which is a good chunk of them). After some frustrating searching (with no help from Microsoft, of course) I found the update and downloaded it. Afterwards, I could play normal AAC songs, but not Protected AAC files. Whatever, close enough.
So now I start up my 360 to play Forza 3, and it says I need to download a system update. Fine, whatever. Surprise! Now the only songs I can play from my iPod are the illegally downloaded ones. Hows that for retarded irony? I tried downloading the update again, but all it said was "to use this content, insert the game it was downloaded for." Jesus Christ.
So do any of you know how to fix this problem, and more importantly, why does Microsoft hate us and not want us to be happy?
