Yes you can. In private and local matches, you can replace humans with bots.grimsprice said:Gears of War 2 doesn't count. At least if you're talking about horde. Those are in game special bad guys. In other words, they're not replacements of human players. You can't have say..... one human-player/4 human-bots against 3 locust-bots/2locust-players.sasquatch99 said:Gears Of War 2 and Unreal Tournament 3, I think.grimsprice said:Microsoft wants to push xbox live and prevent people from not buying another console and another copy of the game.
Same reason why there aren't any games with bots. Name 2 games that have multiplayer bots on the 360?
But I think they are the only two. Yeah, the question may not have needed to be answered but I thought I would do so anyway.
OT: I think it may be the push to get us all online. Either that or the graphics would be too much for 4 player co-op to handle.
So if we boycott all co-op games that don´t feature 4 player offline co-op,we might get it again?robert632 said:-snip-
ReinofFire said:I think they're thinking that having 4 people would make it too easy. I mean when your offline you can also look at your friends screen to make sure they don't die but if your online you have to listen to what they have to say and guess. Also having the 2 player feature might actually make it smoother due to the fact that its hard to do stuff when there are 3 people in the way.
Well it seems like these games were most common back before HDTV. But I think the money grubbing is a good possibility.Katana314 said:The wider usage of big-screen TVs kind of allows for more split screens, but you obviously don't want to assume everyone has one. I'd agree it's probably mostly just developer greed for more copies of the game.
No, this is exactly what my problem is. I'm talking about games where you can have 4 players located in one room, with one television, on one xbox, playing through a campaign at the same time.PoisonUnagi said:What, you mean like Left 4 Dead and Borderlands?
yeah, why do you think I'm playing my PS2 and GC more than my 360 or PS3?RAND00M said:So we must dumb them down to make them more enjoyable?orangeapples said:Lets just face it: these consoles are just too sophisticated for their own good.
Holy shit! You can? I've owned that game for like... a year or something, and i play online all the friggin time. I did not know that. lol. Well hurrah for EPIC games. They're the only company that creates in-game bots.Compatriot Block said:Yes you can. In private and local matches, you can replace humans with bots.
Because they're way more enjoyable.I would personally like to play a 24 hour marathon of Time Splitter with 3 other people then some random game that isn't as fun but has way better graphics.orangeapples said:yeah, why do you think I'm playing my PS2 and GC more than my 360 or PS3?
no. boycotts don't work in this situation. just look at the short lived MW2 boycott(i saw it some where.) or the disasterous L4D2 boycott. it just doesn't work to well.RAND00M said:So if we boycott all co-op games that don´t feature 4 player offline co-op,we might get it again?robert632 said:-snip-
Those were boycott's on specific games.I´m talking about boycotting every game that claims to be a co-op.No exceptions.robert632 said:no. boycotts don't work in this situation. just look at the short lived MW2 boycott(i saw it some where.) or the disasterous L4D2 boycott. it just doesn't work to well.
he's talking about offline co-op.Aura Guardian said:Well, Halo 3 kinda has a 4-player split screen co-opish online multiplayer mode. I love that feature.
The MW2 PC boycott was one of the biggest fuck ups ever.robert632 said:no. boycotts don't work in this situation. just look at the short lived MW2 boycott(i saw it some where.) or the disasterous L4D2 boycott. it just doesn't work to well.RAND00M said:So if we boycott all co-op games that don´t feature 4 player offline co-op,we might get it again?robert632 said:-snip-
I know. But you can still play 4 player split screen online play. Like Team Death match.2012 Wont Happen said:he's talking about offline co-op.Aura Guardian said:Well, Halo 3 kinda has a 4-player split screen co-opish online multiplayer mode. I love that feature.
OT:
Yeah, I've noticed this and it does sorta piss me off sometimes. I just don't really get why it can do splitscreen with two people, and the map can obviously handle 4 cause it can online, but they won't let me play with four
