I read and was told this game would be long, entertaining, just like the first one but much much better. What I found out was it looked better than first one but it wasn't better in general. In fact it started off appealing ( for like the first hour of gameplay) but then went to shit real fast. And then I finished it completely in like three days (like every mission done except those repeating job quests, every legendary weapon found, cave explored, building owned, etc, etc,) I even had multiple children with multiple wives and that didn't even feel like an accomplishment, even when I would kill my wives and leave my children to fend on their own while I go and save the world, becoming the biggest schitzophrenic hero in history.

All in all I'm dissapointed in this game, oh well sell it and go get gears of war 2 or something I guess.

P.S. I don't mean to sound like a perv but why is it that you can have multiple marriages and children and then kill your family while at the same time paying a prostitute to service you...and yet the game dosen't show the sex scenes? I'd figure if you're gonna have a game that crosses the boundaries like that you might as well have some scene of polygonal rumps bumpin uglies i guess.

Children to fend on their own? I thought that when you killed your wife, child services took them? (LOL! I'm sure glad i'm talking about a game)

I have this question for you, jacob: did you like the original Fable?

I mean, if you did, then fine, but if you didn't, why are you writing a thread about how Fable 2 isn't good?

Damn. Ninja'd before I got in to post it.

Though mine was going to be snappier with:

"It doesn't.

/thread."

And end there.

Every time I've killed my wife child services took the kid. Even when I headshotted her at the top of Brightwood tower and they had no way of knowing.

Perfectly all right good sir. It's satisfying to know that others think the same way I do on certain subjects.

I am no where near that chubby and while his monocle is absolutely dashing, his moustache is horrific, something which I would never grow.

I hope and pray for the day when I can wear a top hat in public and not be viewed as an eccentric madman though.

I need to make a Magician's outfit. Something in the vein of the ones displayed in Apollo Justice, those were excellently designed.

I enjoyed it.

A game is what you make it. Fable 2 is meant to be an Adventure, not a linear story. The best way to make a game better, I have found, is to not play it as often as you like... anticipation and the such.

But you can have your opinion. I personally didn't like Mario Galaxy... don't hurt me.

The only thing that I didn't like about fable 2, was that it wasn't as open world as it was made out to be, but it was a great adventure game and was the most fun I had playing an rpg in a while.

It is almost impossible not to like these free-roaming RPG's because
if you don't want to do quests or fighting, you can just wander around.

I never bothered getting past the Mythic Dawn bit in Oblivion.

I agree that Fable 2 isn't as comprehensive or as fleshed out as it could have been, and was downright laughably easy.

But as a casual RPG experience, I don't regret my decision to buy it.

Have you not considered playing it through again? Or handicapping yourself, etc.? Or bitching about it to people who won't shout at you?

I agree with you on the Mario Galaxy thing but I think the problem with the Fable games is the over-hype. And a game is created to be played. So if the only way for it to be better is for you to not play it as often as you want then there's something wrong there. Also Fable 2 was supposed to be this all new incredible experience. I saw (not able to play it yet so this is a vague guess) Fable... but with a dog. And another problem that I've heard of is the game rewards you with money even if the game isn't on. To me that's a big problem since it's like saying that the gamer doesn't even need to play to get the rewards.

It does water down the experience, but I don't think every game is out there to be hard. I think there are games out there to be easy, but just allow you too turn off your brain. I love the original Ninja Gaiden for the NES, it's one of my favorite games, but I can't turn off my brain to play due to the difficulty.

Your right, but its just too hard to sit down and play a game anymore. Maybe if we were still in the 80s...

Fable II does give you money when you're not playing. You earn 1/10th of your income when you're not playing. BFD, if you ask me. Money isn't hard to come by that game. Fable II is a bit too easy, and a bit too short. Hopefully DLC will fix this, but I fear the Fable II has succumbed to the DLC bug that affects developers.

Oh, and to people who listened to the hype: Stop fucking listening to Peter Molyneux. For fuck's sake, learn your lesson.

I bet 50$ that in maybe under a year they'll release an expansion with Theresa as a villain. Just saying. And it will probably include some new items, hoo-freaking ray. There is more clothing available in this game but they seem to think giving us Masks and Coats will suddenly make the fact there are maybe still around 6 sets of clothing a softer blow. In my eyes Fable II was going to have seventy different outfits to choose or mix, I kinda got let down.

Edit- I kinda liked this game, but the combat system was not what I expected and I did NOT unconditionally love the dog the seventh time the fucker forgot where the treasure was half-way through searching for it.
