There, I fixed it for you.axia777 said:To those that have not, read this, it is a very BIASED, which conveniently ignores huge amounts of American history and attempts to explain every historical event through Marxian class struggle, book.
A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.

Zinn states that
This "historian" in essence, states that if a particular part of history (something that should be objective) does not aid the writer in what cause they are attempting to benefit (something that should not be in a historical text) they should be ignored.Objectivity is impossible, and it is also undesirable. That is, if it were possible it would be undesirable, because if you have any kind of a social aim, if you think history should server society in some way, then it requires that you make your selection on the basis of what you think will advance causes of humanity
Howard Zinn is essentially the Karl Marx of the history world. He writes that
He also out and out lies several times. He states that the wealthiest man in America during the Revolution was George Washington (not even close). He states that unemployment rose during the Reagan years, but Reagan inherited an unemployment rate of 7.5% and left office with one of 5.4%Zinn said:The history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggle
He also leaves out enormous parts of American history that don't fit his class struggle version of American history. Washington's Farewell address, the Gettysburg Address, Reagan's speech at the Brandenburg gate, all of them are simply omitted. He notes Valley Forge once, ignores the Normandy Invasion and Gettysburg, and yet dedicates several pages to My Lai and several more to the bombing campaigns in the original Iraq War. This is not history. This is a work of fiction.
