Concerning Zero, it was more a contest of 'who has the most moves'. Zero had more canon attacks than all the other megamen so they used him. Not that I wouldnt like to see Volnutt.
Didnt play MvC2, but did play Tatsunoko vs Capcom (Ultimate All-Stars). I will miss Frank West and his Servbot Helmet super.

Also, your list of missing characters is far from complete, whatabout Rouge? Cable? Spiral? to name but 3. But I suppose that the list in the first post was just the characters YOU'LL miss. Changes have to be made, and if you want to play MVC2 it is only about £10 to download.
I have the sneaking suspicion that Thanos is going to be a DLC charcter. He apparently has a history with Deadpool concerning the affection of the antrophomorphic personification of death. I realise I just used alot of long words, so for those who dont know what I just said, Thanos made Deadpool immortal so Deadpool couldnt compete for Deaths love. Wierd, but Death is apparently female.
I dont think Rouge would make it back in at all as her only ability is to touch people into a coma while stealing thier powers.
As for the rest, theres already 38 characters in the game including Jill and Shuma-Gorath. Considering that Capcom stated that they didnt want to go over 40...

sillyness is not prohibited in games. Stupidity is what made games good before the realism fad kicked in and murdered all the fun.
