Why isn't Killzone 2 on the PC?!

Before the flames begin, yes, I realize it's an exclusive title meant to bring people to the PS3 but it is just so good that it causes me mental and physical anguish that I can't play it on my beloved laptop. After years of Counter Strike/CS:S, a fair amount of TF2, a bunch of Unreal games which didn't interest me, Quake 4's failure to entertain and a long but ultimately doomed to boredom stint in CoD4 I find myself without a good first person shooter to play.

I've considered getting Vegas or Vegas 2 but I really think the lack of tactical play which has been in the Rainbow 6 series since it's beginning will end up annoying me. I tried BF2142 again but it takes so long to unlock weapons that I found my interest waning in a week and I just don't see anything that truly interests me when I peruse the PC section of Best Buy.

I've been out of the gaming scene for about 3 months due to classes but I get the feeling PC has been left behind and I may have to invest in a console if I actually want to have fun gaming...

If you want to play it that badly get a PS3. It's never going to come to PC... or pick up L4D

I'm looking for a PC first person shooter with an online experience which can keep me entertained for more than a week. I've played out much of what I already own including CoD4, TF2, and CS:S and I'm looking for something new to shoot people in. In my searching I've found many good shooters on consoles such as Killzone 2 and BF: Bad Company (fun multiplayer I don't want to discuss the finer points of the single player campaign) but I'm a bit at a loss on the PC.

I have a ways to go until Red Faction: Guerilla is released for PC but even that is a third person shooter adapted from console so I don't hold out much hope for it on the PC.

Sony isn't in the buisness of PC's.

Killzone 2 has elements that I've come to enjoy in online multiplayer. Weapon unlocks, different classes, objective based gameplay, and a variety of well detailed maps with varying degrees of depth. The one map which is a highway overpass looks tiny on the minimap but the vertical depth and the amount of space that gives you to play in is quite amazing.

Call of Duty 4 is a great game but the game modes besides team deathmatch are under populated, most maps are rather simplistic, and (at least on PC) there is a definite lack of social interaction like one would see in any CS:S, TF2 or L4D server.

To put it bluntly, buy the hardware or piss off. Killzone 2 is never going to PC, the only option you have is to buy a PS3 to play it. If you love it that much then buy a PS3, no excuses. Save up the money and that's that.

Though I think L4D or Far Cry 2 as a random suggestion would do you some good.

Did you even read his post? He's asking for a console-esque shooter on the PC and is using Killzone as an example.

I'd recommend Left 4 Dead if you havn't already played it.

The title was just meant to bring people in I'm not really wondering why Killzone 2 isn't on the PC. It's just a trend that disturbs me, FPS's being released only on console when the FPS's bread and butter has been the PC for so long.

I'd recommend Left 4 Dead if you havn't already played it.

I admit to not playing L4D's multiplayer as much as it deserves. Originally I couldn't get any of my old CS:S clan to play it with me and all my friends played on console so I let it go by the wayside. Now, after my extended break, I come back on Steam and practically everyone on my friends list is playing L4D. If I can't find anything truly new that will be my next obsession.

Maybe using "Greater Than" Symbols wasn't the best idea..
Its a link, starting from game and ending up on Console..
