Its amusing that people are so devoted to this game that they don't think any blame should be attached to the people that fucking made it when shit goes wrong.Oh and I know you are all going to act like cod and Bf fanboys and say I'm a retard and a ****** but I really don't care and for the record I think its a good game that doesn't mean there aren't things that could have been done better like for instance bug fixing.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Some of those pics look allot like what happened to certain games to me when my video card was about to die.

Im thinking graphic card. My own computer is coming to four years now but it still runs Skyrim with little to no graphical problems other than the occasional smooth pink armor.

I also have the mediocre level for RAM based on CanYouRun it site. And thus far i have no technical problems with Skyrim.

I don't know, maybe something in your comptuer is interfering with the game? My comp specs are inferior to yours but mine seems to work fine.

I've come across the dragon turning white bug, but I suspect the rest are simply graphical glitches because you're trying to run the game on higher settings than your rig can handle.

Third and last picture is the video card causeing that. I would do a clean driver install. Always best to do a clean driver install because sometimes when updating to a newer version errors happen.

example of what to clean the driver:
http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/

as for the purple textures thats a game issue where it renders part of the normal map and not the texture itself.

I agree with your assessment completely. The issues are most likely on the OP's end.
The problem I had with your posts was your wanton derision of the OP's computer knowledge.
The elitism was unnecessary.

If you are referring to this as "asking for the OP's specs,"

I'm pretty sure you claimed to be a PC expert when you assumed to know more about game development than Bethesda.

Do you even know what hardware you're running, other than "omg it's alienware"?

Might help us fix the problem, unless of course you want to keep blaming others for your problem.
then I disagree.
Maybe you don't realize how people view what you say, but that comes across as a pure chunk of unadulterated condescension rather than a courteous request for information.

My point is this: Regardless of what you thought you were trying to do, you were a dick about it. Stop trying to justify that behind the mask of altruism, because that clearly wasn't your intention.
Thank you. The sheer level of hateful condescension towards the OP in this thread from the die-hard Skyrim fans has been disgusting. My God, say ANYTHING about the game on this forum anymore that doesn't include calling it God's gift to humanity and they'll chastise and berate you. And people say the Halo, COD, or Valve fans are bad.

The OPs screen caps do show mostly isolated instances of engine bugs or errors. Still, the game is riddled with bugs that could have, more than likely, have been remedied with a delayed release.

[edit] For the record, I've no issue with the fans of the game. It's the vocal minority that treat anyone who doesn't like the game like they're filth and have been rampaging around the net that bother me.

I havn't had ANYTHING like that, PC users have mods, but us console gamers have less bugs and better optimisation. I suppose thats a fair trade off, even though mods end up fixing half the problems anyway.

Certain people excluded, most of us fans will be the last to deny that Skyrim has bugs.
It has bugs in the dragon flight script.
It has bugs in the quest-item labelling
It has bugs in pathfinding
It has bugs in a lot of things.

However, the bugs displayed by the OP are not scripting bugs (except for the dragon with the space suit) but are graphical glitches. Graphical glitches more common caused by drivers, RAM or hardware issues.

I don't think anyone in this thread has denied that the game has bugs.

It has plenty, it's a Bethesda game.

But what the OP is experiencing more than likely is a problem on their end, not the developers.

This probably have little connection to the topic, but, I played Skyrim on a Sony laptop with a.. lets say.. mid to entry level graphics card.
The cooling fans for the whole laptop (not a gaming laptop, only one fan) is missing 8 (EIGHT!) of its fins, because some weird shit happened inside it (i seriously did not know how). It only have four fins now.
So i bought a cooling pad, and HWMonitor says that the average temperature for my GPU while playing is around 104 celcius, and 80 celcius for my CPU.
On top of that, Sony, being Sony will not let me update my nVidia driver. I still got the latest driver patch though, which was out on November 2010.

Probably I am God's chosen one, but other than Skyrim quitting abruptly prior to the 1.3 patch, I have yet to encounter any bugs, :( jealous, you guys having fun with those awesomely hilarious bugs.

I guess what I am saying here is that Bethesda games are full of bugs, but just because you have a problem with it doesn't mean everyone else in the world does, many factors affecting it. Or.. um.., I hate brand name gaming pcs/laptop. Ugly on the outside, buggy in the inside

EDIT

oh I actually encountered the moonwalking dragon prior to the 1.3. yay.

You make it sound like this kind of thing happens all the time in skyrim. I've honestly never found a game-breaking bug in the entire time I've played it (pc). The worst I had was a music bug, which wouldnt stop playing the epic dragon fighting track even if I'm chilling out at a tavern.

It's an isolated incident with what you have. Also, its Bethesda. Games this huge cannot have every single bug and glitch ironed out, it's impossible.

Imagine the PR fallout though after they delayed it past 11 11 11.

All those commercials with 11.11.11 at the end...

But even with the difference in engines, I still feel like a lot of things could have been solved with more beta testing, but that's a different topic.
Its not just the engine. WoW uses a modified version of the same engine that Blizzard used to create Warcraft III. That game was an RTS released '02. The differences in this software and that used in Skyrim is like comparing a sledge to a ferrari. It just doesn't...make sense.

TES games have always been buggy because bethesda creates an entire world in code...it would take decades to trouble shoot every single tiny aspect of the code. Its just not practical.

People are asking, "oh bethesda, why don't you keep your broken game"...to which I imagine the developer responding, "what, for another 15 years of QA testing?". Its just silly and pointless to try to argue that point. Its just not WoW or Zelda or Mario or even Mass Effect. Linear, contained games that have only one or three outcomes regardless of what you do. Bethesda creates the TES games for a specific type of gamer who likes to do whatever the fuck they want with a pretty framework to play around in. Its why they release the mod kit.

I mean, if you don't like complete freedom in a game...go play zelda. Its a great game, I hear. I plan on buying it as soon as I put another 100 or so hours into Bethesda's latest masterwork.

It's your own fault you are alt-tabbing from a Bethesda game.
Srsly, do not alt-tab in Skyrim, it will cause graphical glitches like that very often. And pretty much guarantees you'll ctd inside one hour.

Skyrim is configured to run on 2GB of RAM max. You can download mods that can up that to 4GB, which fixed the issue for me. On top of that, if you're using a laptop you're going to run in to quite a few more issues than you would with a desktop due to overheating (even with a cooling pad) and the lower performance ability of most laptop components.

I agree with you entirely concerning the probable cause of the problems that this thread is about but the replies are on the whole highly indignant and quite hostile towards someone that's merely suggesting its the devs fault its not like the op was insulting every bodies mothers and yet he is met with unbelievable aggression and I've seen this in pretty much all the Skyrim threads.I just thought it merited commenting upon.

A lot of games should be delayed, but it is a lose-lose situation: piss people off by delaying the game, or piss them off by releasing a bug-filled game. I'd rather see the game delayed rather than be released filled with bugs.
