ok, sorry for the bad pun but honestly, ive seen a lot of discusions here with serious and controversial themes, and honestly, i consider the forums of places like this like a way to express our geekiness, but then, we have discussions about politics, abortion, and that kind of stuff.

well i dont know of what im trying to say here.

There are gaming specific forums around here. But some people simply like to discuss(get the chance to argue) about more serious Issues.

It's off-topic discussion.

I would count Abortions and Religion as Off-Topic.

But I am honestly getting sick of them, I think some of it is to do with the fact that such topics get the most attention, so it's really our fault for posting in the damn things, even if it is just to complain.

Allow me to give you a simple reference guide detaling how to spot someone after badges:

  • 1)The op claims they want a discussion or to compare opinions on a controversial topic and then doesn't post again ever in the thread.
2)The opening post is vague or asks several questions
3)A post is the same as a current one thats doing well view/reply-wise or one that has previously done well in these respects
Please note this list is not exclusive.
However from your post count I would guess you knew this already especially since you have been here 11 months suggesting to my paranoia clouded brain that you are also after badges in your own way.

I like them serious business topics. It pulls me from /reich/ and /pol/ long enough to interact with people here. Whenever there's a lull in the intellectual debate, the chan's start to sing their siren song.

What pun?
It's not really a pun, more like referential humor. The title of this thread is a nod to a line repeated by the Joker in The Dark Knight.
Yes, not a pun. Just overused by people who think they can deliver it. It's become more annoying than people saying "fail" at anything they don't like.

Keep making threads like this and it's gonna be a while before you get that.

The Iron Ninja hits the problem on the head with cooking tools, so to speak. Anyway the other forum seems to be what you're looking for, any other forum.

EDIT: I found a short way of saying all that- Keep being good people, don't be as serious, don't complain, etc.

Apologies abound for the inflamatory way I worded it before

I'm just really tired of the why all the hate on(insert faith here) topics. Or the love (political persons here) Topics. I personally like the whats your desktop look like stuff, what do you look like threads, and just generally off topic funny threads.

Nice.

As for badge-seekers...

Badge-seeking should be idle, unless it's the Matrix-themed ones, then you should actively try to not become exempt from them, but never to just get that many posts for the badge.

Personally, I really want that Morpheus badge. I want to go fucking gonzo and not have been banned once. 'Cause I'm like that and such. The Neo badge, though, with my posting style, will probably be long, long into the future, well after one of the various apocalypses.

It's the end-times.

(Yet another slightly rambly post, it seems. I'm not doing too well tonight.)

Yeah, of course they're kids games, what with their mature ratings, guns, explosives, and enemies that explode into meaty chunks when you kill them.

Serious Sam 2 just had a "cartoony" look. The earlier games, took place in more realistic places (mostly ancient civilizations).

I personaly, love the franchise, so much pointless violence, and Sam has his own one liners, instead of stealing all of them, like Duke Nukem.
