Our school is considered one of the "good" schools in the community. We are also considered the "preps", even though a lot of complete d-bags attend our school.
Anyways, last Thursday, our school installed some concrete picnic tables outside so the students could have a place to eat, as they noticed how crowded it was getting inside. They also wanted to get us outside with the nice weather coming up. That's a nice thought, right? Well, the tables lasted through Friday. On Monday morning, we come to school to find that every single one of the CONCRETE tables has been broken. They've either been taken apart or smashed.
We were discussing this in French class, and something they said surprised me immensely. My class blamed the SCHOOL for the broken tables because they said that the school should have known that someone was going to come along and smash them up. ....WHAT?
To me, that makes no sense. Our class was basically saying that our school can never upgrade anything, or put anything remotly breakable around, because someone will come and smash it. How ridiculous is that? So much for the "good" school.
So, what would be the reason for this? Why would someone come and break concrete tables, and why would my class blame our school? What do you believe they are thinking? Do you agree?
**From what I've heard, a few of the kids responsible for this don't even GO to our school. They wouldn't have even been there to see the reactions.
