I was just looking into ME3's release date and found this:Xzi said:

A "Holiday 2011" release is distinct from a "2011 release" as the "2011 Holiday season" lasts from November 2011 to JANUARY 2012! So I think considering the trends established by the last 2 Mass Effect games, Mass Effect 3 will be released in January 2012.

Definitely seems to be for 2012.
As for Alice: Madness Returns, not only is the game in such an early stage it doesn't even have a logo but looking at EA's fiscal year reports it seems that their "year X" finishes in the March of the subsequent year. So Q4 2011 is firmly in 2012, which is Alice: Madness Return's stated release date.
So yeah, take this as a good thing, this is more time for polish and less pressure on your wallet.
The greatest year in gaming was when the NES came out cause if not for that we never would of gotten out of that down turn. Although you could say the greatest year in gaming was when the Atari 2600 came out which made home consoles popular. Fuck it I'm going all the way back and saying the greatest year in gaming was when Tennis for two the first video game ever was made.
If everything sticks to it's release date? Better than 2007. Especially now that I have a PC, 360 and PS3 (as of 2 weeks ago).

And no, I don't care if they're all sequels, as if we should all suddenly deduct points from their review scores or something just because of it. You know what a gaming sequel usually means? The original, only how the developers actually wanted it to be; the original, only with the benefit of up to millions of players' feedback; the original, only more refined, yet bolder.
Just because the CoD series took the money shot and landed it straight in your eye doesn't mean you need to have a vendetta against any game that is a sequel, and just because we have sequels doesn't mean we don't have originality also.

Wow, a lot of "the glass is half-empty" types in this thread. Yeah I'll grant that a lot of the games coming out are sequels, but if you look at the best of the best, companies like Bioware and Bethesda rarely if ever disappoint (yeah I know plenty of you will say Oblivion wasn't as good as Morrowind but I loved it). I certainly have high hopes for this year and think it certainly could be the best year in gaming.
I guess what's really amazing to me his how much people can love a game and then clamor years and years for more, then when they finally DO get a sequel they go all "meh it's gonna suck." I can understand this given dissapointing occurrences like Deus Ex: Invisible War, but come on, there's no reason to lose hope and make judgments BEFORE THE GAMES EVEN COME OUT!

Eh, honestly sequels are starting to make me flinch. Even ME2, which was one of the better sequels I've played which was released in the past few years wasn't really something I could come back and play a lot.

Your list suffers from a distinct lack of the Persona team. Catherine and Persona 2: Innocent Sin are going to be awesome.
Um hey WAKE UP CALL PEOPLE! Did you all forget about 2010! Fable III, Halo Reach, Fallout New Vegas, Red Dead Redemption! and a bucket full of other ones! I'll only be getting Gears 3 and Skyrim anyways.
