I doubt it
it enhances the immage of him being not a super soldier but just a scientist in combat armor!
This, more or less. He's no space marine.
This!
All of you may ramble on, coming up with arguments one way or the other but it does not change the fact that he is not a trained soldier, he is a Theoretical Physicist. Yes he picked up a lot of experience with guns during his... "adventure" but he is still just a physicist with no prior experience with guns (at least this is the way I look at him).
And for the reason I saw that it doesn't take a genius to figure out that aiming with the ironsight increases the guns accuracy, BUT! Have you ever tried it yourself? It is also increasingly difficult to actually shoot if you are not trained in it.
Edit: *Plus the whole suit thingy he has going for him. It is the most badass piece of equipment ever.
This is also just a ramble but it just makes most sense. He is not a trained soldier even with the experience he has gotten, he knows how to handle guns but not that well. Some of you may not think it would be gamebreaking, and it might not be but it doesn't fit with the character and that will ruin the experience for many. Gamedesign is an art, and even if you change just one thing, the whole meaning can change like any art.
