There's only one problem I have with the 64 bit architecture. I love the 64 bit OS. It's so much smoother, but...Straying Bullet said:The PC elitist with Windows XP are hypocrites. Windows 7 - 64 BIT is the shit.
Can we get some DX11 pictures for comparison?Xan Krieger said:I need to upgrade from windows XP?

Crysis 2 begs to differ
So bloody true. Max Payne is one such game, though some clever guy found a way to get it running on 7, not all will have this, and the more obscure the more likely they will go unfixed.FoolKiller said:well I for one will be sad. Too many older games are not compatible or have issues with Windows 7 that I want xp to still run.
No, I meant "random number" until 2014. It was a joke.bladester1 said:It is longer than 1.76 years till 2014. We still have all of 2012 and 13. Did you mean 2.76?
Sure. You can still use Windows 3.1 if you want, or DOS for that matter. You'll just be completely on your own with regards to any support matters, driver issues and so forth. But your WinXP install isn't going to spontaneously self-destruct or anything.Enkidu88 said:We can still use Windows XP can't we? Even after the date? Or are they seriously going to send a death code into our systems to kill XP![]()

At first I thought it was an unintended glitch, but no, I saw where they listed the supported OS', and its not there. That's really pathetic.

I fucking love that feature. My motherboard fried once and while it was off getting repaired/replaced/whatever, I was stuck using an XP machine in the mean time. I was so fucking lost without that feature.danpascooch said:hell, it's almost worth it just for the ability to drag a window to the side of the screen and have it automatically fill exactly that half of the screen, I use that all the time
XP users are to be blamed for the lack of DirectX 11 support in games. Didn't you know?Marik Bentusi said:Funny stuff, haha.
I don't really get the big OS debate or the "elitism" people interpret into it. I for one have no good reason to abandon XP just yet, but I (probably) will when real compatibility issues with software I need/want arise. As long as you're good to your computer and sometimes make sure everything's clean and tidy, it won't just suddenly crash on you either, tho of course there's a general exception to this rule with ANY software on the market, even "Hello World!"-programs. Been there, seen that.
...I have learned something new. I knew about the full-screen thing, but not half-screen.mjc0961 said:I fucking love that feature.
