It's a definite rental imo. Well truthfully i don't buy anything really anymore without multiplayer, or gameplay expansions anymore. Im tired of 7 hour games.

I didn't like the look or the style of the game, I thought it'd get too repetitive going slow mo whenever you jump.

I refused to play the demo after I saw my boyfriend play it... Not my cuppa tea

I dunno, the demo was kinda fun... but it could have been a lot better. The graphics looked as though they'd been vomited out of a PS2.

It just kinda seemed... average. Nothing particularly special.

I thought the Demo was ok.

My only criticism was that you cant stop jumping or sliding for a second because without the slow mo this brings the aiming system appears to suck.

Then again they are aiming for a OTT style of gameplay.

Its a "wait a while and pick it up preowned" game for me.

Well I rented it and i just finished it and I thought it was pretty good. Surprisingly I never got bored of it it was always fun, my only complaint is that there is a basically no bosses at all and therefore no real challenge. There could easily have been some like pelhams bodyguards but all you get are some cut scenes with some press x to not die events which I thought were really lame.

So I played the Wet demo yesterday and it starts off with me jumping and running all over the place shooting bad guys in slow mo and im like Woah! Then I was running on walls and doing some crazy acrobatics stuff and im like Woah! Then im swinging on poles while still shooting bad guys in slow mo and im like Woah! Then i go berserk and start hacking and slashing a bunch of dudes and im like Woah! Then im on top of a speeding car and im like Woah! Then im jumping from car to car while everything is crashing and exploding while STILL shooting bad guys and im like Woah!.

Anyway as you can probly tell I liked the demo but theres a voice in the back of my head saying this is the best they have and the rest of the game will just be repetitive and stale. Those who have played the full game, what are your opinions on it? Are the voices inside my head right? Should I listen to them more often?
Lucky you, I just finished the story mode on the "normal" difficulty and I must say, I was rather impressed with its ability to hold my attention. I wasn't expecting too much with the story, and it was a bit lackluster to say the least, but the game did have some extras that didn't show through in the demo.

Firstly, the scoring system isn't just for show, the points you rack up are used to purchase new abilities and gun upgrades. There are also 3 other guns besides the pistols. The clapping monkeys are an entertaining diversion as well.

Really though, after you complete the game, 3 new modes are unlocked. Challenge mode, Points Matter mode, and Golden bullet mode. Challenege mode lets you go back to Rubi's base and do some fun time trial type levels and hunt for 25 scorpions. (there are aTON of challenges plus Rubi's base is huge and pretty fun to explore.) Points Matter mode lets you replay any level to find monkeys, and, more importantly, try and beat a target high score on each level. You REALLY have to be good to get any of these scores. And Golden bullet mode allows you to replay the story where all of the bullets are one shot kills. Including the ones shot at you. Its an awesome challenge that I am currently under taking.

So, all in all, its still a rent, but one you may want to keep a few weeks past the due date. (or just get gamefly)

Same thing happened with the Mirror's Edge demo. It was awesome, a bunch of people got the game based on it, and then realized they should've rented it.
