Wolfenstein - Unable to use guns glitch

I picked up Wolfenstein a few days ago and have gotten a good ways into the game when I came across a glitch that is full of fail. I died while standing inside of one of the walls that you can cross through using your veil power and when I reloaded I found I couldn't use any of my weapons. I can cycle through all of them on the menu and I can see the ammo count on my HUD but I have a dot where my cross hair normally is and I can't fire any of my weapons. I also discovered that I can no longer sprint nor can I melee. The only thing that works are my veil powers.

Has anyone else run across this? I've tried some different things to fix it. Reloading and aborting the mission I was on don't seem to work and it looks like I'll have to start an entirely new game, which really bites. I'm considering taking it back and getting a refund.

Is the game good? And they can't give you a refund because of a glitch. Or, they shouldn't. WaW was full of glitches and exploits, and you shouldn't get a refund because you experienced one.

Sure games have their glitches, but buying a broken game should warrant a refund if you think about it.

It was pretty good until this issue came up. You get some cool powers that you can upgrade with added effects and you've got eight different weapons that all have their own upgrades as well. You can even get upgrades for your grenades. They kept the old Wolfenstein gimmick of finding gold/treasure and you use that to purchase your upgrades.

Also, if a game has a glitch that's so bad I can't PLAY it, then I think that warrants a refund.

Did you try going to the same spot you died at and crossing back over to the other side? Might not work, but it's worth a shot.

did anyone happen to find a solution for this? I'm also experiencing the same issue on the PS3 version right during the second part of the Queen Geist fight where you drop through the hole.

I can see all my weapons with R2 and select one and see ammo and such, however, I can't see the guns nor can I fire. I cannot use grenades. All I can use are the veil powers.

You can reload any past autosave, so you should be able to revert to the last save before the glitch from the menu.

Not exactly a very good glitch if I do say so myself. How do you kill things in an FPS without using your guns. Does a tree falling on the ground make a noise if nobody is there? All questions of the world!

I had the same freaking problem, but I'm near the end of the game. I was fighting the queen geist and she killed me while I was on one of the turrets. After that I had no guns, couldn't sprint, couldn't shoot, but I could see my crosshairs if I manually selected a gun. Just no gun. Couldn't finish the boss. But I did load from a previous auto save so I could continue playing, I just had to go about 15 minutes back.

Is the entire game like that, or is it only your save? If it's only your save, then restart the game. If it's the entire game, then you should alert the developers.

Anyone having this glitch on the PC version? Playing this through for the third time (on a PC), and I haven't experienced any glitches. Perhaps they screwed up on the console version?

I am having the exact same problem at the exact same point. I restarted from the previous autosave but thier is still no weapons. I will try to go a few more back but this is a real issue.

Sorry buddy, it looks like you're fucked. Freak accidents like this happen all the time.

One time I had to start a new game in Mass Effect because Shepard got stuck on a fucking rock. I've heard its been patched now, but regardless, I was/am pissed.

It's not broken if it can still be played. Just start a new file. If it doesn't work there, I'd remove all data of the game from your hard drive. And if THAT doesn't work, demand a refund.
