Holy hell, people, look for pest control if you want a hitman. I thought this was established by now. Look up pest control and ask about large mammal removal. Learn how to pay for murder right, people.
Good job that made me laugh.

Although.. a quick call to pest control could fix some problems... hmm....

Okay, I'm probably gonna feel real stupid for asking this, but how did her crime in specific relate to money laundering through video games? The article says that she used stolen credit cards and PayPal, and then talks about buying and selling WoW gold to launder money for criminal activities. Maybe I'm missing some more obvious connection, but it just feels like that section was shoe-horned in to make the article video game related. I personally don't mind if the news articles aren't all video game related, but it confuses me when there is no obvious (to me at least) connection and you try to force one.

OT: Yeah, anyone who goes to a site like hitmanforhire.com really isn't smart enough to get away with it. Not that I would know of a better way to do it, but there is such a thing as subterfuge.

Yes, attempted murder carries a 6-8 year penalty in the United States, but then we'd have to add on her other charges of the fraud which depending on the severity can garner a minimum (I think) of 20 years.

All in all, yes she'd be hammered less if she'd just tried it herself (not like she should have). Really, even IF she managed to kill the woman and got the minimum murder sentencing, it's less than 56 years.

Wait....probably. But I guess this way has a smaller chance of being caught....apart from the hitmanforhire.com part....

"Hitmanforhire.com"

...Who would call their website..."Hitmanforhire.com...?".... Isn't that basically strapping a sign to your head saying "I love murdering people and I will be caught so please phone the police to take me to prison you twats!"

hitmanforhire.com how stupid can anyone be, it's an obvious net to catch people. You wouldn't look up cocainedelivery.com and expect it to be a great way to get coke delivered to your door without the cops noticing.

I was sorta expecting the site to have been created by law enforcement specifically for that purpose.
Ditto. The hitman she was contracting was probably an agent sipping a latte with one hand and searching for youtube videos with the other. All we need now is for Chris Hansen to become involved and stage "hits" with Sacha Baron Cohen as the assassin.

... Hiring a hitman online? I'm seriously disappointed in people. We don't even have the common decency to hire our hitmen by going through a series of underworld agents to set up late-night meetings and exchange bundles of unmarked bills and names of people we want killed anymore. Joking aside who in their right mind actually tries to hire an assassin online? They don't think it might be a trap to catch people with homicidal delusions? Now, if you excuse me I must log onto discountserialkillers.org for completely legitimate non-homicidal related purposes.

What a great site name. I don't know whether to be relieved or worried that people as dumb as that lady are trying to commit crimes.

And maybe I missed the memo, but isn't money laundering or whatever you'd like to call it already happening in video games? In the case of WoW I knew a few people who would offer real money in trade for in-game gold. Either that or offer to buy a game-card for someone in return for in-game currency. I don't know if I would call either of those illegal, as they weren't gold sellers, but rather friends of each other who just had different financial priorities. It worked out for both of them and they didn't affect anyone else, so I don't really see the problem in what they did.

I do however understand how it could escalate or get out of hand to the point where it's distinctly illegal or dangerous.

ISK to actually assassinate bounties would make the game even deeper, yet would probably cut the ability to make return investments on killing very unlikeable players.

Attempted but failed? Probably, unless other petty invented crimes were also involved that get tacked on so they can punish you more for the same crime.

Had she actually succeeded, it's obviously pre-meditated, that is generally good enough to get a life(min 60 years, i think?) sentence.

littlelacysurprisepageant.com?

Also! Stop hiring hitmen over the internet! It's bad enough we have the most insane traveling costs from country to country. There are also costs of stylish clothes and piano-wires that constantly go up!

Do your own bloody work!
