Haha, I'm with you there. It's ok when a government sells kids, but not ok when a private citizen does it. Love the double standard being represented here.Roganzar said:On the point of selling the baby, it's not really any different than "buying", sorry adopting, a child from another county, (China, Romania whichever). I know people that have done this and these governments are selling the children to desperate parents. Then the parents parents have to pay to get the kid back to parent's country. She just didn't do it legally.
Other than that, the drug addict mother had the sense(?), sure we can use that word, to give up her child that she clearly is incapable of taking care of. I doubt the man is a good guy. I could be wrong. He could be a fabulously wealth man, who never married, a little lonely and thought to give the kid a good life. Doubtful, but in the realm of possibility.
Sorry kid that your life started out so bad.
$15,000 that's it? Seriously, that's it? Wow, if I sold my newborn child it would have to be a stupidly higher amount of money than $15,000. Which she blew at a casino of course.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
OT: The situation is utterly stupid. She is not a fit parent, and he may not have been any better (though I am not gonna jump on the bandwagon of people representing the child porn angle). It's a big jump to from "alleged" anything to child porn. I don't think people actually know what the world "alleged" means. It means, declare without proof.
