You can be a guy and also be a feminist.Mackheath said:Hey, I'm a guy. No need to say 'no offense.'Xixikal said:Feminists. They whine on about equality and then when they get it, still they're unsatisfied.Mackheath said:Although I have to wonder about what some feminists would say to this...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-women but equality is a goal that humankind should strive towards. And that includes both men and women sacrificing themselves on the frontline. So feminists should probably shut up (no offense intended).
Totally off topic: I love Katie, she made me laugh so much when I saw the cartoon.lisadagz said:You can be a guy and also be a feminist. They're not all just angry lesbians who hate men, yehknow.
Seeing as feminism is SUPPOSED to be about gender equality, then I'd have thought true feminists would say there should be no issue here, take people on based on merit not gender.
Even if it turns out that the misogynists are right and women are weaklings, they should still be able to go through the fitness training and testing and those that fail can be weeded out at the end because they're weak, not because they're women.
Ehh.....Valate said:Absolutely allow it. The physical differences after full military training probably put the women at an advantege over the men, all things considered. On top of that, anyone who is willing to go to the frontlines shouldn't be denied. That's fanaticism, which is very difficult to deny.
Neat. That's what I was thinking.Jatyu said:You know... I'd rather prefer if everyone was banned from serving in wars...
Or more accurately, there wasn't a need for them.
I'm just sayin.
Ahahaha, yes, I've only seen the film once but I just can't think of an avatar I'd rather have, really.Boris Goodenough said:Totally off topic: I love Katie, she made me laugh so much when I saw the cartoon.
Just to nitpick here, but Boudica wasn't a great commander. She had an army of between 100,000 and 250,000 soldiers and lost against a Roman army of 10,000 men. Not what I'd call a great success.Grospoliner said:Actually women a perfectly able to perform in front-line combat roles.

Hell yeah we do. We may not have a lot of them, but Australia has some of the best trained troops in the world.
