It's a $14,864 Gaming computer from Digital Storm. The new one that I'm almost done making is around $800 to give you an idea of how pointless this is. What really gets me is they charge $200 to go into the BIOS to change a simple setting to Over Clock the CPU. Wow.. Just wow... *Facepalm*

I'm disappointed with all of you. This is an online forum for gamers everywhere and no one found this topic worthy of a reply? Well, in the end it probably fell under the radar. All I can do is hope for better luck next time.

Yeah, I don't really know a whole lot about computers, I just use them.

Yep, I've been called a computer wiz and expert because I bring one to school...yet I hardly know anything about the damn contraptions. I just use logic but that only goes so far...

My sentiments exactly. Bumping your own topic before a day... tsk tsk.

Frankly I find anything more than a tower a waste of money. And even then, some of the additional drives I could do without.

HOLY FUCKING SNIP

Maybe if you'd actually explain to us why it's such a ripoff instead of just telling us it is then maybe you'd create discussion, otherwise your post makes you look like an elitist douche who holding their knowledge of computers over everyone's head to make yourself look smart.

And good going with the bump. I assume you don't know the definition of "SAGE".

If you were able to include prices for each item listed (instead of just a total), that would probably give people replying to this thread a "way in" and something significant and relevant to the topic to actually discuss. All we really can say at the moment is "gee golly gosh that's a long list of thingies".

Even with all the ridiculous components, 14 grand seems a trifle... high. You could certainly have made your case better though, as the obvious Ctrl+C Ctrl+V specifications list still has ad copy in it. For shame!

The worlds biggest rip-off is Text messaging. It's the closest thing to pure profit that has ever existed.

On a lesser note, Bottled water is pretty high on the list.

If you wanted me to care, you should've made the stats a little more clear. I can't tell if that's the one you're making or the one you're whining about. Half of those stats are superfluous, anyway. You didn't have to tell us what the keyboard was and what version of Microsoft Office it came with, and if you absolutely had to, it didn't have to be another piece of mish-mash in the list.

Also, you do realize that over-clocking generally requires more than flicking the overclock setting in the BIOS, yes? It requires all kinds of crazy cooling systems and what-not to really overclock a system, and even then it's a risky manuever.

Anywho, yes, that seems quite a bit overpriced.

It's nice, and a rip-off, but I can spec a $75,000 machine from goddamned Dell that's less capable.
